I really enjoy Majora's Mask as well and I don't think it's as awful as most people thought it was. Sure it was easy compare to the other Zelda games, but I still loved it.

Why not? I've played plenty of well made games in my time, and it's impossible to pick just 10. As long as people aren't list 100+ games, I don't see why it's a problem, much less one worth complaining over.

Talking to more casual gamers, they tend to dislike it, because it's not as linear as Zelda:OoT was. People wanted the same game over again, and that was the problem. Nintendo eventually pleased those gamers with Twilight Princess, which was great, but overall, it just felt like a glorified OoT to me (Which was just fine considering the former is my favorite, but it just didn't do anything "new").

yeah I don't think anyone thought it was awful, but it was definitely strange, especially for a Zelda game, so I think that threw some people off. that's what I love about it though. I played it at a young age (8 years old) at a point where I had a pretty wild imagination, so the world in the game really appealed to me with the tons of characters and sidequests and backstories to discover. I got pretty sucked into the story. I would even write and illustrate my own stories taking place in Termina with all of the NPCs, haha.

but aside from nostalgia I still think it holds up very well. I don't think I've ever played another game that was that immersive, at least not in that kind of way. it's easy to get caught up in that game because you care so much about the characters and the world, something the time limit really adds to rather than hinders.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that a lot of "awesome" games and to a lesser extent the other Zeldas (and I've played them all), just don't make that kind of connection. like yeah, Dead Space, great game, but I couldn't give two shits about Isaac or anybody else in that world. I just kind of stomp necromorphs for the fun of it and that's that. I don't feel any pressure from within the game to complete it. stuff like that.

Because it's pointless... It obviously IS possible to pick 10 (or at least 10 different positions with ties between specific games) if so many people have done it. You even listed games to fill your top 10. There's no reason for the added runner-ups. Granted there's nothing WRONG with it. It just seems like a waste of space and time.
