Some new info on the new Superman film, including a tease that we'll see the new suit soon and a possible name.

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=75348

I'm gonna probably see Sucker Punch next week, so hopefully this movie will warm me up to Snyder up some more. As long as it's better than Dawn of the Dead (2004) and Watchmen, then I might accept him as The Man of Steel's director

Kevin Costner (The Untouchables, JFK, Dances with Wolves, Water World, and Swing Vote) is now confirmed as Jonathan Kent.

I doubt Lex is going to be the main villain for Snyder's rebooted Superman film, but I definately think he needs to appear, establish himself and his hate for Superman, and use him accordingly.

Personally, I would prefer Lex to be a major supporting character/villain for the first two films, and if it's a trilogy that's being shot for here, conclude the third film with a Supes/Lex confrontation that's been brewing since the first film. Superman vs. Lex Luthor in Warsuit armor perhaps?

Amy Adams (Doubt, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, The Fighter) has been cast as Lois Lane in the upcoming "Superman" reboot.

Seems like a great choice.

She'd make a better Lana Lang.

Absolutely. I dont find her attractive at all, but thats not a knock to her acting chops. Enchanted was quite the movie!

That being said, I like Kate Beckinsale as Lois Lane. Right look, and she can hold her own. But now that thats not gonna happen, how about WB puts her in the WW costume?

...SOB its a reboot?! ARGH! Series does NOT need a reboot, it needs a kick ass sequel. Reeves' Superman is totally epic and PERFECT.

The entire Superman franchise has been struggling because it's so hellbent and refuing to break up with the Reeves Superman.

I for one am glad they're letting it go and starting fresh. They need to move on.

Its struggling because the writing is horrible. Superman II The Richard Donner Cut, Superman III and Superman IV The Quest for Peace are very light. Superman Returns has solid writing but they mis-cast Spacey so hard...

I totally agree with this.
Superman Returns was boring for a Superman movie made in the time it was. That movie shouldve been a spectacle to behold, instead of a love letter to Richard Donner.
And SuperKid......no skreeonk Way.

And not because it's referencing and in love with a film that isn't really relevant anymore to a modern audience.

Why didn't Nolan just make a sequel to Tim Burtons Batman?

Superman Returns should have been a skreeonk reboot. The Donner film(s) are great, but it's time to move one and do more with the comics. Give Luthor his damn power suit! I'm sick of him being an evil landlord.

But this is gonna suck anyway because of Snyder's meddling. :P

Never would have thought of Amy Adams for Lois, but the more I think about it, the more I actually dig the casting. Never seen her in anything other than "The Fighter", but she undoubtedly can play headstrong and feisty. Which are two very important Lois Lane traits.

Unlike Superman Returns, I certainly hope to see reasons and examples of why Clark finds Lois so appealing. As Kate Bosworth's portrayal certainly had none of that.

Looks like General Zod is gonna be the villain: http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.reu ... ie-reuters

Personally, I'm not surprised that they went with Zod. I really wish we'd get a different villain like Brainiac or maybe Parasite for a change.

Everybody, what are your thoughts on this?

Ugh. It's like moviie studios don't know any other villains besides Luthor and Zod exists. Next, we'll be seeing Nuclear Man in one of these films.

Seriously, where's Brainiac? Bizarro? Anyone that has never been adapted for a Superman movie before?
