Never say never, but people don't identify with the label of Image as they do with Marvel and DC. Yes, people know Spawn but most people couldn't tell you who makes him.

Well, that would kind of hurt sales if they did that. Imagine what would happened in the next Mario game got rated M.

I don't see why it won't work? A MKvsDC2 can have the Black Laterns as part of the story and a M rated editon of MKvsDC2 might work with the BL's and Superboy Prime.

I'm pretty sure a MKvsSF game will end up having a T and M rated editons of the game as well.

And thus controversy happens. The same EXACT thing would happen if Marvel vs Mortal Kombat ever happened because Spider-man is on the cover. Now granted both companies have done gory/graphic stories but those don't get controversey because parents don't read the books and junk that they give to their children.

This is why no game company would ever waste money to have 2 versions of a game come out when they could easily add in a "No Fatalities" and "No Blood and Gore" option. It's been done before.

Exactly, BUT NOOO.... instead they'll continue to make video game violence a big deal and blah blah blah... We know what will happen, what they'll say, and stuff but they'll refuse to admit it's their fault and chances are it might hurt the game's sales or the respect for the company.

Now would I mind fatalities? No, but I also like the tone down ones too and I'm not too butthurt about it.

Yeah some weren't that bad, you can have cool brutalities without being very violent but that would take out part of what makes MK special, anyway, MG is right, it's not convenient to release anything that risky.

And it's not the fault of the gun that kills a person, but most people don't view it that way.

One bad apple spoils the bunch. One mistake like this -which is BOUND to happen- would create an incredible amount of bad press.

Since this is April Fools day then it can be hard to tell what's going on. I think he sounds serious, but who knows.

It'll likely never happen, and if it does, it will be a watered down mess like MK vs. DC.

^ Oh yeah, i remembered that one of the reasons of that happening was that they (Midway or whoever was making MK at the time
i dont remember that well) didnt want to put "In shame" the DC heroes or something to that effect so that MK characters didnt looked that superior.
