King Caesar's Secret Power?

I noticed this last time I watched Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla. The Black Hole Alien leader mentions that they should kill King Caesar before "he wakes up other monsters." So is this is a unmarked power, or just a phony remark?

In context of the dub, it could probably just be seen as the Black Hole Aliens taking the legend literally: two monsters will rise. King Caesar was an unknown, in terms of powers or anything, and so maybe they assumed the legend was relating that King Caesar would bring a monster back to life to save the world... in the end, it was simply Godzilla, who wasn't dead as the Black Hole Aliens probably assumed, just happening to arrive at the same time that Mechagodzilla was battling King Caesar.

I wouldn't really think about it too much, but that's how I interpreted the line when I heard it.

You're thinking of a different line, which is "Mechagodzilla, kill King Caesar while he is sleeping!" which is later in the film, when King Caesar is being woken up.

The line that KC is referring to is earlier in the film, and the line ends with "before he brings other monstersto life". So yes, monsterS, plural, is the word used in the dub.

When I was younger, I always thought the line was supposed to imply that King Caesar was responsible for resurrecting Godzilla after his first fight with Mechagodzilla. Of course, this doesn't really make sense, since we see that Godzilla is alive and well long before King Caesar is awakened.

So... yeah. The line sounds cool, but makes no sense, lol.

All you would have to work with are fan subs, since all the available version on DVD use the same subs as the R1 disk, and the R2 disk has no English subs. If anything, it just shows the lack of understanding of what King Caesar was capable on part of the "Apeholes".

I think you're honestly just reading into it WAY too much.
