Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter in the works?

This was leak on Ed's twiter

http://twitpic.com/3qzar5

I hope it will happen. I mean we waited long enough for a crossover with MK and SF.

Dear Capcom, YOU'RE DOING WAAAAY TO MANY CROSSOVERS LATELY! SLOW DOWN!

And with that said, that's cool and all but I'm one of those people who don't really want to see it and I'm not one of those stupid people who complain that there'll be a lack of blood.

There always bee a T and M rated editon of the game. I mean SF has proven that it can be a R/M rated series, go watch the SF2 anime for example. I doubt we will see it anytime soon with Capcom already doing a crossover with Tekken later this year or next year.

Whatever as long as Capcom takes care of the system and balance it should be AT LEAST fun.

I doubt it's "in the works." Capcom is already working on Tekken vs. Street Fighter. So, it's possible the IDEA is in the works, but the game itself? Not yet, not in my opinion.

It'd be kinda cool, though.

You know they can make a M rated version of the game. Don't think SF can be M rated then go watch the SF2 anime.

Ed Boon has been trying to get this going for quite some time...doesn't mean it'll actually happen. If TxSF and MvC3 are both a huge success (which is almost a given), I can see Capcom maybe taking it into consideration. Honestly I'd prefer TvC2, or something more epic like DC vs. Capcom. Or hell, even a new Vampire/Darkstalkers would be greatly appreciated.

Well Capcom said at the Tokyo Game Show back in 2009 that another Darkstalkers game is possible since the series has grew into a huge fan base over the years and a thread for another game has reach for over 2,000 replies. TvsSF does not come out until later this year, so a MKvsSF won't be out until 2013 at least.

Indeed except for DCvsCapcom, Rather have DCvsMarvel handled by Capcom.

I think Capcom should do a normal Marvel fighting game like they did back in 1991 or 1992 based off of the IG arc.

I don't agree at all.

Why not since Marvel Super Heroes was a pretty good game if you ask me?

There was a rumor a few years ago that DC and Capcom were going to make a game but obviously that never happened. I heard 2 differen't things involving DC and capcom but of course after a google search none of these were true and just some rumors created by some guy.
1. DC sued Capcom for them having a character named "Aqua man", which of course only appeared in that one person's post when I googled it.
2. It never happened because DC wanted Superman to be overpowered, again never found it to prove it.

So Capcom vs DC would seem stupid, but hey look at the idea of Marvel vs Capcom. Back then, it would of looked like a weird stupid idea yet it turned out well and I wouldn't mind playing it as long as there's an explanation why characters are more evened out. But of course, I would MUCH perfer a DC vs Marvel game that uses not only the mainstream characters but possibly some from other timelines which means.... Spider-Man 2099 vs Batman Beyond.

I want a Image Comics fighting game for once. Capcom vs. Image seems like a cool idea if it's done right. I'm pretty sure we will end up seeing a MKvsSF game in 2013 since they make a new MK game every two or three years.

Because if Capcom has the rights to do Marvel Games, I'd rather them make crossovers or something more creative than what most developers do with Marvel properties.

It's nothing more than a fanboy's wetdream. Fact is, most people don't know who Image is. It's not a big enough draw to warrant spending the money to cross them over.

Well Image Comics is the 3rd largest comic book publishers in North America and most of their comics have spawn into many TV shows and movies. I doubt we will see a fighting game based off of Image Comics, but Image Comics is still rather well known though with their popular characters like Spawn, Invincible, Young Blood, Witchblade, The Darkness, and Savage Dragon.

Oh well a person can dream.

Actually image may be the fourth largest comic company, it's debateable who's more popular Image or Darkhorse.

I will say, I would LIKE a image comics fighting game but sadly we'll never get one.
