Wait, wait... are YOU the one always bringing this stuff up in FMs? And wasn't it addressed there numerous times as well?

Actually I got most of this info from Inferno Rodan.

Rodan would have gotten a split bio as well on the site, due to his wingspan... except that it actually grows in-between Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster and Invasion of Astro-Monster. So there was no real good place to split it.

I'm not following this. It's always been said that the Rodan seen in 1964-1968 one of the same ones from the 1956 Rodan movies. So even with a slight wingspan increase how would that justify two different bios??

For that matter, KKE Goro is obviously not 35 meters tall either. KKE Kong is 20 meters, and Gorosaurus is maybe a hair taller than him. He's certainly not nearly twice as tall as Kong. So I have no clue where the hell they came up with that number.

Guys, it's Word of God. Even if it's completely wrong we have to run with it. Toho's being stupid, but it's Toho.

Wingspan increase is all it is. I doubt Toho actually says Varan and Baragon '99 are separate monsters, just different sizes.

It's a movie. They can pull it outta their asses if they want. The stats are only truly relevant in FMs, and if that's a problem, just state in the rules the height and weight which the kaiju in question are scaled to.

If KKE isnt canon and KEE Goro is the same species as Goji-canon Goro - then no, a new bio isnt needed, nor a split bio.

Baragon and Varan got their own because their own movies they appeared to die.

But seriously, I think we can trust what is so blatantly shown on screen as is. In this case, movie > other sources.

As for the bio, if it can be proven that the two movies are not canon, there should be two generations, and the 2nd should start with something like: "In the Godzilla series, Gorosaurus is instead portrayed as a 35-meter tall kaiju that resides on Monster Island."

Sure, if I were starring in their film.

That's what we're talking about, folks. A movie. You're all wrapped up in what makes sense. Not to mention, TK strives to be an accurate source of official Toho information. If Anthony starts printing information based on what is just fan speculation or fans' opinions or stats, it takes away from the legitimacy of the site. If anything, I could see a note attached to the bio stating the size inconsistency, but not an entirely separate bio.

Maybe if we did a special article on the website about inconsistencies between the actual bios and what's in said movie.

That is a superb idea. I wholeheartedly second this.

I fourth the idea. Not only would it be a good read, but also an informative and accurate article of some inconsistencies that newer fans may come across.

$5 Ocean comes in and demands he write it instead of you. After all, he's a true fan and you're not.

Don't give 'em ideas.
Seriously though, let's leave all of that "who's a fan!" stuff to that other topic.

No. Clearly you don't even understand what I said.

Toho has Word of God privilege. It's THEIR creation - what they say goes, even if they're skreeonk it up. Toho can't make me jump off a bridge because Toho did not create me. Toho did create Gorosaurus however. Therefore, if they want him to jump off a bridge, he jumps.

I'd sooner trust what I see with my eyes than what a bunch of people in offices say. No way IN HELL was he 35 meters in DAM. Not when there is a shot of him and Godzilla standing side by side and being damn near equal in height! I'd buy it if the two were never shown side by side, but NOPE. No dice!

I mean JEEZUS, if the guys at Toho one day came out and said Showa Godzilla could piss magma, has laser vision, diet consists of Cheerios, was never an enemy of King Ghidorah, but instead his closest ally, and can recite Shakespere's Hamlet word for word IN LATIN, would you buy it? Hell no (that's what you should be saying), because it doesn't match with what's on film! Just because it's 'Word of God' doesn't mean it's right!
