Oh the religious controversy that movie would have stirred up...i would have loved to have seen that one too. I just don't think i could take it seriously though...Godzilla vs THE DEVIL, ruler of Hell...seriously if Godzilla won or even put up a fight then...dang!

I bet GODZILLA VS THE DEVIL would've gotten banned!
Anyways,as cheesy and campy GODZILLA VS BATMAN would've been,it would've been a cheesy good film like GODZILLA VS GIGAN.I think Batman would've fought Godzilla in a giant Bat-Bot.

The movie would have been more silly then the 1960's TV series. Batman was campy in the 60's since that's how the comics where. It was until after COIE where they made Batman dark thanks to Frank Miller's "Dark Knight Returns". You can say Toho did the same back in 1984 with "Return of Godzilla" as well.

Funny how Batman and Godzilla had a few things in common. I remember Kpa said DH wanted Superman to fight Godzilla as well in a crossover comic.

Well, knowing Toho, Batman wouldn't be a well-trained crime fighter, but some 50 meter superhero mutant with bat powers and shit.

DC would have weeped, especially since when people bring up Batman films, this one will be brought up as well.

Also, for people talking about a "giant Batman" fighting Godzilla or something, the short proposal mentioned the various Batman vehicles, so I wager it would be like seeing Godzilla fight the Batmobile, planes, etc. Not that exciting, unless someone finds the parts where Godzilla fights the military to be the highlight of the Showa films.

I still think that Toho wanted Batman to be a 50 metre monster. I mean they did upsize Franky and Kong.....

But batman is an actually full out human, unlike the undead Frank and the primate Kong. Could he be increased in size, sure, but according to the description, Batman uses his vehicular weapons. (that might be a run-on sentence, but who cares?)
