See the post just above yours where I, *gasp*, say the same thing to someone else.

Rodan.

"Which one-time monster should be in the new Godzilla movie?"

I would probably like to see Titano return most of all. A few others would be Destroyah, MKG, and Varan.

I love how other people have done the exact same thing in this thread yet I'm the one singled out for it.

And I'm pretty sure I already said Varan at one point in this topic. So if it has to be a one time monster I'd say Varan.
When were u singled out? Also not everybody has the time to read all these posts.

Im still thinking Titano (could lead to great battle sequences) but two "Bipedal dinos" could be overkill
so maybe Varan , Rodan or Angy.
Unstoppable Fury , Unthinkable Power , Unbreakable Will.

Titanosaurus. He could serve not as an antagonist, but as a contrast to Godzilla. He would be pacific, and could have served as an example of a giant monster coexisting with the rest of the world and humanity... with emphasis in "could have" since Godzilla would kill him by the end of the movie, as a way to show how big of a threat Godzilla is. Maybe Titanosaurus would be forced by humans to fight Godzilla, his death would be tragic, akin to his original appearence.

Gorosaurus too, he could serve as a terrestrial comparison to Godzilla. It could even be kind of meta, having Gorosaurus' "relistic" anatomy being ineffective when fighting Godzilla (Specially in the midle of a city).

I think Rodan deserves it's own movie, with monsters like it and Anguirus and Varan appearing in later films (If there are) as actual opponents to Godzilla.

I think Hedorah would make a PERFECT Americanized kaiju for Godzilla to fight.

My IDEAL American Godzilla film would basically be a standalone film, with the threat(second monster) not showing up till the end of the film, and basically leading into a sequel. Like I saidthough, Hedorah, in my opinion, makes for a perfect American Kaiju monster(think The Blob etc.).

Megalon and Jet Jaguar. Why? Because these are the monsters general audiences are most familiar with. It's no secret that MST3K's take on Godzilla vs. Megalon is one of the show's most popular episodes. My ideal film would feature characters watching the battle from some HQ (a la Godzilla 1985), taking MST3K styled cracks at what they see. Who knows, maybe you could even have cameos from the show's cast. Something akin to what I wrote in the "story ideas" thread.

It should be noted that Megalon is also popular among Godzilla fans, so everybody wins.

I don't think a comedy film is what the franchise needs right now.

Honestly, I think a comedic tone would be bad for the franchise right now. I don't want the movie to be dark and gritty, but it shouldn't be too lighthearted either. I think a tone along the lines of Gamera The Brave would be the best honestly.

Juyarumu(http://godzilla.wikia.com/wiki/Jyarumu ), the viscious sea monster from the Japan-only Playstation game, Godzilla Trading Battle. Would make an interesting challange for the Big-G's dominace of seas.

In either an American or Japanese Godzilla movie I would rather see Godzilla stand alone. At least for the first movie. In all honesty I would love to see a remake of the 1954 Japanese original with great modern special effects and CGI. I know that will never happen but a guy can dream can't he?

I would actually love to see some of the exclusive monsters from that game be brought into the movies. Jyarumu and Balkzardan specifically.

Krystalak and Obsidious. I think they both need to be in at least one Godzilla movie, and since the director has already said that their will be more than one monster.... These two would fit that bill perfectly in my honest opinion.

I have given this some thought and I think I would love to see King Kong in a new Godzilla movie. Peter Jackson showed how to do King right...at least in how he looks.

If they do something interesting with him/her, sure. I liked the original idea behind him, in the early The Return of Godzilla treatment.

Bagan, Myanmar would be a great location for a Godzilla movie to take place. Old architecture and lush green vegetation. Good call and I agree.
