I could very well picture Godzilla getting another monster in some type of headlock, and using his other hand to bash it's skull in. Now, I don't mean like a WWE wreslting match, but a good example of this would be like the kong v. t-Rex's scene in the 2005 King Kong. Of course Kong and Godzilla would not fight the same, but the type of intelligent, aggressive combat would suit a more agile Godzilla, who I personally hope to be featured.

I mentioned the Intelligence of the FW Godzilla as a good base to utilize a more advance combat style, and the body of the FW Gojira, to have enough bulk to appear powerful, but not too cumbersome and sluggish, as I thought the Heisei suit made him look, that way he has the body type to match his aggressive style. Granted the Heisei suit was heavy, and the suit actor could only do so much.

I too hope we don't see more "beam wars", though I seriously doubt Legendary would do that, considering all the SFX they have at their disposal. I hope the beam is more or less reserved, the first time about halfway between his character reveal, and the end of the movie. And once or twice more during the final conflict, just to establish the destructive power of the beam.

Mainly tooth and claw and then he uses his ray when he's had enough and wants to move on.

Showa. T&C with some beams. He picks up boulders and throws them, if he sees his attacks are not doing it he looks for a weakness and when he finds it he exploits it.

How about bridges and pieces of buildings?

Sure why not. We've seen Gojira flip over a bridge so it wouldn't be far fetch to see him think about using one as a weapon. I basically want a Godzilla who thinks when he's in combat and changes his tactics when he sees his normal one is not working.

I would also like to see some more animalistic styles to Godzilla's fighting - show him biting and clawing his opponents like a vicious predator.

I liked GFW style because it was dynamic (even if the pro-wrestling/soccer match with Anguirus King Ceasar and Rodan was a bit too far on the comedy side), the tail swing and beam combo against Monster X is a good example, but I'd like to see something a bit more savage. When he gains the upper hand against Monster X he grabs and punches him. I'm a devout practitioner of ground'n pound, but I'd expect a huge reptile to CLAW, not punch. I loved the dodge-and-spineslash against Megaguirus too. I'd also expect G to exploit the nuclear heat he generates before shooting his beam (boiling water and fried meganulas prove it) to break a chokehold or something like that (assuming he'll fight other monsters, of course).
Godzilla is a huge radioactive pile of raging violence in reptilian form, every single part of his body is a mass destruction weapon, I want to see some creativity.

I didn't mean he should nukefart or something like that, you freaks!

I'd like to see Godzilla act somewhat animastically but with a high level of brain power & stratergy and cunning in battle and use his atomic breath when he really needs to.

Some one pulls the plug-thing out of Godzilla, he turns to Morpheous and says 'I know Kung-Foo.'. And he uses this knowledge to defeat evil in the world.

But give him some kickass counters strike, use his beam when he needs it.

A combination of Tooth and Claw with Beams. Have him change his technique in a battle depending of
the situation he is in. (a Rough Psysical battle if he and his opponent get to close or a Beam usage if he`s
far away from him, Etc.)
Unstoppable Fury , Unthinkable Power , Unbreakable Will.
