It would be interesting.
Considering that's half an hour from where I live, that a great choice! In fact, maybe Godzilla could travel up the Mississippi, leveling cities as he goes.

In any case, Godzilla should travel across the US, not just stay in one place. He could even visit other countries, like Europe or South America. This movie should emphasise that Godzilla's a worldwide threat.

Yes, thats an aspect i liked in the Heisei Gamera films. That the Gyaos were a worldwide threat and that reports were coming from all over the world. Thats the way I want to see this Godzilla movie. BUut with that in mind, I am feeling that there will be another threat involved with this movie. But you never know what will happen.

I think that this film will of course have a central location and he won't attack that many cities. He isn't taking over the world. I think whatever places he "attacks" is more of an en route to wherever he is headed.

Good idea. I think let's have Godzilla attack North Korea, then Osaka, then Pearl Harbor, and then go onto the main land of America from there.

They just can't catch a break now could they?

On a smaller note, I think this is a reason why we won't see Godzilla attack New Orleans. Just like the reason why they decided to re-edit all the NYC movies after 9/11.

To be honest, I don't think New Orleans is really in the best taste at the moment. People are still sensitive around Katrina.

YES. LEGENDARY PICTURES PRESENTS. GODZILLA VS. DUBYA.

On a serious note, NY, while overdone, would be okay to me, but I'd prefer someplace easier to get to from Japan, so yeah, LA, San Francisco, or someplace else in California seems logical.

Thats actually not a bad idea. Despite the fact that its completely landlocked I could easily see a good Godzilla battle in Vegas.

In fact the two times its been used (Marvel, and Invades America) have been rather well done.

I would LOVE for this movie to take place in Chicago. Godzilla vs the Sears tower anyone? And as someone else said earlier about Philly, then I could try and be an extra in the movie.

But realistically, I see them doing Los Angeles or San Fransisco.

^ Chicago's been monster-safe for too long! Nobody ever attacks us besides the damn Transformers...
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.

That could actually work really well too. Especially if they have the place pouring stereotypical Seattle rain during the attack.

Chicago is a good location. The Lake Michigan Area is very big and leads in to other lakes that lead to an ocean. Hopefully this Godzilla doesn't go under ground like GINO, but if it's the case this time around, Chicago has a great Subway system that can be destroyed. Plus, Sear's Tower (Willis Tower) is a great landmark and Big G can take that down too. Plus, California and NYC are good places as well!
