I think enough directors will tell you film school doesn't mean jack shit until you actually make a movie, and from what I can tell Snyder hasn't learned a damn thing.

They won't. The only ones who will tell you that are Tarantino and Rodriguez, they got obscenely lucky when it came to making films. They're also confirmed morons and cokeheads when it comes to anything other than making a movie.

and from what I can tell Snyder hasn't learned a damn thing.

Okay, tell me, what about the technical aspects of Snyder's Direction tells you that he hasn't "learned a damn thing". Do you know much about directing itself? Not writing or dealing with actors, but actual directing? Blocking, Fluidity, Cinematography, Eye-Lines, Staging, Lighting. etc. Snyder is fantastic in all these regards, which is why each of his films have a memorable look. While you may not like his use of slow-mo, that's a failing on your part, not his. It's a trademark of his style, and considering his action heavy films, it's a sensible one. Rather than make things confusing and nonsensical and disorienting like every other action director out there nowadays, he slows it down at the best bits so everyone understands what's happening. And there's a musical fluidity to it all. Yeah, Sucker Punch is trash, but that's because Snyder is a horrible writer and can't make a good story, as a far as a Director though, the man shoots circles around his contemporaries.
It isn't conderacting if i'm pissed.

I could care less about how a movie looks when the story is complete shit. Snyder's done nothing but adaptations - minus Sucker Punch - and he's managed to destroy them all.

It depends on the film's budget. They can keep it around 100 or 120 million as long if they don't over do the marketing on the film.

In Italy we trust. Give the script to Dardano Sacchetti, the special effects to Giannetto de Rossi and the music to Stelvio Cipriani. Banno could act as creative consultant. Director? Hmm, Bava and Fulci are dead, and Argento has "lost it". That's a hard one.
Every film should have at least one animal attack.
