Obviously Akira Takarada jumps to mind first. Especially sense he admited wanting to have a roll in the movie. Akira Kubo would be great to see aswell.
If Stan lee can be in all those marvel movies then we should get at least someone from the Toho movies.

As long as Akira Takarada is in this movie, I'm happy. Haruo Nakajima appearing in this would make a great cameo as well. I could imagine G-fans cheering in the theater as he came on.

I just don't see a cameo really happening for this movie. It's being made for western audiences. How many of them are going to recognize anyone involved with Toho's Godzilla movies? Could they do it for fans? Certainly. But that doesn't mean they will. Especially when we make up a pretty small percentage of their target audience. That said, I would still love to see Akira Takarada make a brief cameo in the film.

I don't expect them too. But like you said, as a fan-service alone it may be worth for LP to look into.

In the middle of the movie, while the main characters are dicussing something plot-related, Matthew Broderick needs to jump out of nowhere in front of the camera, look into it, and say "That's a lot of fish!" Then off-screen you hear "Stop right there!" then he runs off with security chasing him. The main characters blink then continue the scene as normal.

LOL! This needs to happen! Someone call Legendary, NOW!

On a serious note, I don't want any nods or refrences to GINO. Lets just forget about that movie.

While I don't want to a cameo from anyone in the GINO movie, I am not willing to forget it either. It was a fun Monster movie.

I'm one of the few members who will agree. As a monster movie, it's okay, as a Godzilla movie, it sucks. I pretend that GINO is another monster, not Godzilla. As long as he's not trying to be Godzilla, GINO and his movie were alright.

Akira Takarada seems the most obvious option that is only if he does get a part in the movie.

Takarada should get something slightly larger than a cameo. A small role I'm sure, but give him a real character to play, someone that's actually part of the narrative.
