I think the biggest problem Biollante coming back is that her origin is a bit too complicated. Still, I wouldn't mind if they altered her origin a bit so she could fit into the story better.

SHOCKIRUS OR BUST...

But seriously, Jet Jaguar would be effing BEAST, though I don't know if his awesome campyness would fit in (what I would assume to be) a darker film.

I'd laugh so hard if Legendary played this up as some super dark and brooding film....and then when it comes out, it's revealed to be a campy, lighthearted film that makes the 70's entries look sane in comparison.

But I sadly don't think will see Jet in this film. I love the guy to death, but imo, he doesn't feel right in a American reboot. I'd prefer if his comeback was some sort of TV series about him. Although, if Legendary actually DID us him, I'd be happy.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't mind several Showa elements being utilized in the film. Not the super campy/goofy stuff, but stuff like simple kaiju with simple origins, a good human side with interesting characters, fights that are more tooth and claw in nature, etc, etc...

Now there's a monster that really is a one time thing. No lie he was made for Godzilla's death. The only films I can see him coming back in is big monster bashes that don't take themselves seriously and don' bother explaing how some of the "dead" monsters are back or even explaing how they got where they are now or even their origins (DAM, GFW).

I think seeing Varan wouldn't be too bad. It can finally show off fighting skills, and all! Then again, this is coming from a Varan fan.... So.... yeah..

Hedorah (one or two appearance debate aside) and Titanosaurus.

I'd jump up and sing a happy tune if Titanosaurus made the cut, but I really doubt it.

For some reason, I kinda like to think that because Titanosaurus has a nice little cult following here in the States, he'd be at least considered as an opponent by the filmmakers. But I doubt they'd do that.

Still, it'd be a real treat to see him back onscreen again. Maybe if he did appear we'd get another Bandai Titanosaurus reissue!

Maybe a monster that's been scrapped from films a lot (I'm pretty sure Varan is one of them lol), but I'd definitely like to see SpaceGodzilla make a return. :3

I'd rather have Spacegodzilla be saved for a future Japanese film imo. I think he's just too out-there for an American film.

But Varan, I'd love to have him in the film. I think he would be a good opponent for the film due to his simplicity compared to a lot of other Godzilla villains.

I'm not specifically saying something like Galactus, Loki, the Silver Surfer or the countless alien invasions are too out there. I'm specifically saying a clone of Godzilla created from it's cells going into space with a bunch of crazy crystals and psychic powers just seems a bit out there compared to other foes they could use. Could he be pulled off well if Legendary used him? Possibly, but I think compared to a lot of things you stated he's a bit weird. He just seems like something I'd see in a future Japanese Godzilla installment than the American reboot.

Galactus.

You want SpaceGodzilla to be a giant cloud?

SpaceGodzilla's origin does not have to be the same as his original appearance. There are other ways to create such a character.

The concept, not the execution.

But those are based off comics, people tend to just accept it when it's a comic. Godzilla films I've seen get called out for doing stuff like Spacegodzilla, one of my friends who big into comics and accepts all their crazy shit rolls his eyes at some of the similar stuff happening in G films. Hell I call out the series on Spacegodzilla often saying why not just have NASA screwing with the cells in space? Why include the insane bull about the black holes happening in only a few years when the nearest would be several thousand light years away?

Let's just save Spacegodzilla for a possible later film, perfebly as just a NASA experiment and none of the black hole shit.

You know, I never explicitly stated I wanted SpaceGodzilla for this film.

I was debasing the statement that SpaceGodzilla is "too out there." You guys behave like the public won't treat Godzilla like comic books. But...they will. Why? Godzilla itself is a ridiculous premise. Just like comic books. If a space monster shows up in film about a giant, radioactive dinosaur, I don't think people will see it as "too out there."

Guess we have to disagree. If it's Godzilla and a dinosaur I see them buying it but if a mutant alien clone of said dinosaur is involved I see them just rolling their eyes and saying "this is skreeonk retarded".
