Ending?

I wonder what the film's ending will be like. The following are just examples.
A Golden Happy Ending- Godzilla saves the world and is heralded as a hero. He lives happily ever after.
Earn Your Happy Ending- Through blood, sweat, and manly dino-tears, he saves the world, and is heralded as a hero.
Bittersweet Ending- Godzilla, through blood, sweat, and manly dino-tears, saves the world, but in the eyes of the world, he's still seen as a fugitive monster, and has to run for his life. At the same time, he realizes that we as a planet may be going to shit, but we're still worth fighting for. Godzilla agrees with that last part.
Downer Ending- Godzilla defeats the villain, but hates the human race even worse than before.
Evangelion Ending- Godzilla rises out a chair, and says "Thank you all!"

I want an ending that makes me wanna cry. A Return of Godzilla-esque ending.

Whatever ending suits the film. If the movie is lighthearted, go for one of the Happier Endings. If it's a darker film, go for any one of the others.

Though if I had my way the movie would be written in a manner that would necessitate an "Earn Your Happy Ending" or a "Bittersweet Ending". I prefer those. I don't really care for either extreme.

Under no circumstances do I want an "Evangelion Ending" (which I assume means to be ambiguous and ultimately confusing). Just something straightforward, please.

Bittersweet ending. I want Godzilla to be a guardian of his territory and not the people. Meaning that he would kill thousands of people for shits and giggles, but save the earth because he doesn't want other monsters invading his territory. Similar to G2000.

The only "downer" ending for me would be Godzilla dying (sans Gojira). That would ruin the movie for me.

If people can have a preference for the tone of the movie it only makes sense that they would have a preference for the ending of the movie.

Personally I prefer these type of Goji movies:

Goji is a giant animal driven by instincts rather than intelligence and thus is defending his own territory (the earth). He neither cares nor even realizes the to him ant-like humans. Only because of his size he's a threat, but he's in no way naturally evil. The creature he fight's may gladly be completely violent and thus being an even bigger threat than Goji himself. In the end he kills the bad beast just for his own sake and remains alone as a natural catastrophe to humanity that's not to overcome either. So I'd prefer a bittersweet type of ending with Godzilla vanishing into the waves, staying the most powerful, but at the same time lesser evil. Humanity is watching his departure with great respect for saving their world, but they are still in fear and horror because he might very well return from the waters and lay waste to his path...

Actually this has me thinking. What if Godzilla becomes a hero just like in Showa but the difference is that people don't see him as such. By the end of Showa everyone accepted him as a hero but imagine if they didn't. Now that is bittersweet.

What if the people find their way out of the world and find out it was only a fantasy , only stumbling into a world where Godzilla is a film series and discover everything they have done was for nothing?

Maybe have Godzilla explode and take an entire state with him ?

Or have the world explode from Chuck Norris" fists .

Kinda yeah. But then by the last film he gets so fed up with mankind's attacks that he reverts back to a villain and the irony is this happens right when people finally start to see him as the hero he truly is (or was since he'd be bad again).
