LP on facebook said "Thanks for checking in fans, Godzilla is in pre production. With a name like Godzilla, we are making sure we do this legacy justice. We assure you we will release news the second it’s available". It looks like they are watching the fans on the Internet and I hope this will be a good thing.

This is excellent news! It's now out of the "in development" phase and now onto "pre-prodcution" which means they are getting ready looks like!

I gotta say with the lack of news lately im surprised more people arent jumping for joy at this bit of info

Yeah, isn't pre-production the same stage this film has been stuck in for quite a while now? Nothing has changed.

Maybe I get overly excited

But anyways with them acknowledging the fans and letting us know the film is in pre-production it shouldnt be too long now before we really start news on the film and Edwards even mentioning it on a talk show so i think things are getting set almost

my best guess is that filming will take place next year with a Summer 2013 release date most likely in the old place of Pacific Rim i mean why else would they move it up?
