He should allow himself to be struck by lightning and turn into a giant magnet.

I think regeneration is not really a good thing if you want to show that Godzilla is invicible.

Actually, I think the opposite is true. If we just say that his hide is too tough for our weapons, there's always the thought in the back of our head: Find a bigger weapon.

Regeneration is a real wild card, though. No matter how much damage is inflicted, there is always uncertainty about how far good old Organizer G-1 or whatever will go. Will that beating GMK heart be a new Godzy in a year? Who knows. It pushes us away from invincibility, and closer to potential immortality.

Immortality?

Hmmm...Kinda sounds like Alex Mercer from Prototype, he survived a nuke and managed to regenerate completely due to one of his cells surviving and consuming a crow. That was awesome.

Still, having regeneration and seeing it happen on screen would be kick-ass, and would throw off some people who still haven't found out that this isn't a sequel to GINO.

*Four friends sit within the theater seats together watching the movie, person 1,2, and 4 think this is a sequel to GINO and the same baby zilla from GINO but just different looking. Time passes, military shoots missiles at Godzilla*

Person 1: Dude we're have way through the film and they are already about to kill of the main monsters.
Person 2: Damn, kind of a quick film if you ask me.

Person 3: Guys, this isn't GINO. This is the real thing, the real Godzilla.

Person 4: Bullshit, this thing is gonna die like the last one easily.

*Godzilla get's hit by multiple waves of missiles, minor tears and gashes*

Person 4: See, it's wounded! It's gonna die like I said.

*Person 1, 2, and 4 get up and get ready to leave*

*Godzilla regenerations in a matter of moments*

Person 1,2 and 4: O.O ?!?! What the Hell?!

*Godzilla looks to the screen and audience, directly at the friends who were trying to leave*
Godzilla: SIT YOUR ASSES DOWN! I'M NOT LIKE THAT PISS POOR IGUANA!. I EAT THESE HITS WITH A SIDE ORDER OF WHOOP-ASS FOR BREAKFAST! MMM! DELICIOUS!

*Person 1, 2, and 4 sit down immediately*

Person 3: I tried to tell ya.

Something among those lines could be funny in theaters.
Unstoppable Fury , Unthinkable Power , Unbreakable Will.

Personally I've never liked how regeneration looks, because when you want to display that kind of abilities in a film you get boring passages of characters healing instead of a more dinamic rendition of a fight. I don't mind if people say that Godzilla has healed at some point, just to aknowledge the power exists, but I don't want it to be a go-to sequence to show how though Godzilla is. Next thing you know monsters will have plot-related powers that will hamper such healing and the interest is entirely shifted from what makes Godzilla cool.

I swore in one of the Millennium films we'd seen a gash heal.

It'd be cool to see one scene where you see a huge cash on his chest heal but don't make it the focus of the film. They don't need to do it but it'd be cool if they did. Either way I really just want a Godzilla that looks and acts like Godzilla so if they don't do it then no big loss we'd still get (hopefully) Godzilla.

As some people said earlier, as long as Godzilla is still night impossible to hurt I think it should be ok. I mean, Superman has a healing factor, but most people consider him pretty much invulnerable already, so the regeneration is pretty much overkill.

Godzilla should be displayed as an unstoppable force of nature, that's klnd of the point of the character.

It would be cool to show it a few times, but don't make it some giant part of the story like G2K did. As far as dialogue, have some soldiers be startled he is healing extremely quickly and have some military commander mention it while discussing a strategy.

OR (say it with me now) Godzilla could just be a really tough son'bitch with no scientific reasoning as to why.

You know, like in the old days. When no one questioned it because Godzilla with a mutha-f@ckin' badass and we just accepted it.

That idea really does possess an inherent charm in this overly-critical day and age.

What's so overkill about having regeneration along with your invulnerable stats? o.o? I mean like the Hulk is pretty much the same in Godzilla's case, mostly invulnerable while still having some form of regeneration as well. Sure, Godzilla is to be displayed as a Unstoppable Force of Nature, but what's wrong with having regen as well? :eh: Is it really doing any harm?

I like the idea of Godzilla not being invincible, it is very possible to bring him down. But he has the regen feature. and the Bigger the woundhe has, the longer it takes to heal.

But his regen can work relatively fast, so if you are going to kill him, you better be prepared with enough ammunition to do it, and know exactly how to get that done.
Don't try to be something else. Don't try to be less. Great things are going to happen in your life. Great things. And with that will come great responsibility.

I would like to see Godzilla totaly riped apart. Whit broken bones and his jaw, his flesh burned and slashed. If it was a fight scene it would be awesome if the opponent was roaring in victory, but he ears Godzilla's roar and we see Godzilla standing up regenerating him self: flesh re-growing and attaching it self, bone getting back in it's place and Godzilla could be olding it's jaw while it regenerates
