Superman isn't human either.

In fact, I'd say making a movie about a relatively bland, righteous superhero who can barely be hurt by anything - and making it good - is far harder than making a movie about a giant reptile destroying cities and fighting other monsters.

I wish they just had a film where Superman is put into a room with walls, furniture and even the food and air is Kryptonite. That way, we can just watch him die in agony and laugh at how pathetic it is to die from skreeonk multi-colored rocks. He needs to be evened and fleshed out to an actual character which has the capacity to kill and save, to hate and to love. This is why I like Superboy from Young Justice, if not Smallville because they at least make him actually have emotions. Because he's not a Vulcan you know.

While Man of Steel looks good, Godzilla and Spiderman has more of my attention.

Dude they're radioactive chunks of his homeworld. The only remnants of his true home can kill him, that's kind of sad.

While it is kinda sad, you gotta admit that only certain rocks can kill him but not anyone else who touches them. Are they like tied to their genetics so they can be imprisoned in rooms of Kryptonite? That's one of the hugest plot holes of Superman because from what I've seen from Smallville that humans can only benefit from the effects of Kryptonite, getting powers and all. If they are radioactive , shouldn't it harm everyone ?

I'm just saying it would be hilarious if Lex Luthor or some other villain made an entire room out of Kryptonite to throw Superman in with Kryptonite fumes and laced into his food due to this aforementioned plot hole.

Actually, Professor Hamilton in Smallville(played by Joe Morton), after all his time being around the kryptonite in his research on it and its effects on biology around it. Was succumbing to radiation poisoning before dying from a humungous exposure to it.

Likewise, it was revealed in Action Comics#600, that the krytonite ring Lex Luthor wore to dick around with Superman. Ended up giving the crumy crook radiation poisoning as well. Causing him to loose his hand, and cancer to boot.Which lead him to fake his death, and have his brain transplanted in a younger cloned body. Which for a while he passed himself as Lex Jr. until Lois Lane dug up the truth.

That clears things up. So it DOES kill people... Good. That means there's consistency. All I got from watching Samllville for the first six seasons on and off and then that Justice League ep. that everybody BUT Clark get benefits from kryptonite.
