I'm fine with what we're getting. I am optimistic than LP will make something at least as good as the better Millennium or Heisei movies. If not, then Toho can get back at it. Personally I'm interested in Godzilla 201x and Cloverfield 2 to see which American company can make the better monster movie. One has a tremendously iconic monster, but an image to work around. The other has only one movie, but it was successful and had quite the viral marketing campaign.

You don't want anymore Godzilla movies then? Or someone else other than Toho and anyone from America?

Personally, I feel like each of the three eras had weak points where it seemed like Toho wasn't really trying anymore, no matter which demographic they were aiming at. The Heisei had some very weak movies and the Millennium had some mediocre/half-arsed efforts. But I still think both of those eras had something to offer. Both had some of my favorite movies in the entire Godzilla collection and in the greater giant monster niche. I know I'm not alone.
So all of that aside, I think whether LP does Godzilal right or not, there is no reason to believe that
no one could
ever get Godzilla right again.
