I still hope LP will remove the 2012 place holder date soon.

Thats like a two sided sword. One could argue that more time prevents a rushed product and more time to re-think a direction.
Or that spreading a movie out over a long period of time will requires more money and can keep the project unfocused.

But I'm leaning against the latter.
The dead animals in KOM are a result of high powered signals sent from aliens,to awaken the dormant monsters. Animals with similar senses are overloaded from the signal &drop dead. That way much of the world will be destroyed in prep for the invasion.

Disney already has Thor 2 plan out for 2013 as well. The studios are finding dates for 2013 now with 2012 being so full, at this rate then LPG will likely be out by late 2013 or Summer 2014.

There is plenty of time for a summer or even winter 2013 release, there is really no reason this film should be pushed as far back as 2014. Honestly ill start to worry if it gets pushed back to 2014 unless they start releasing some serious detail on the project within the next couple months or even Comic Con.

^Well June 2013 has a new Dreamworks movie and Monsters University (Monster Inc. 2), I doubt they can try to throw it around June time. July has Pafific Rim, Despicable Me 2 and Thor 2 coming out in the same month as well. August is always seems like a dead month for movies.

Well, it's immediately surrounded by the summer blockbuster rush and the Halloween horror movie rush. And the Christmas movies.

Would November be an appropriate time? A release near Godzilla's birthday would be fitting.

No. 'Cause November and Jan. are months where shit movies are usually released.

Perfect time to introduce a passable flick. Even if it's not good, if it's surrounded by shitty movies, theoretically it could make more money.

2012 (2009), the Harry Potter films, the James Bond films, Avatar (2009), Tron Legacy (2010) and other popular films around November and December tend to do well. It depends how much hype this movie has.

Well, in November there is the Thanksgiving day break which is a popular movie-going time.

Although, I would assume that they would release this film in the summer.
