In my opinion, there is no way this film is released in summer of 2012. Honestly, I hope it is delayed at this point, there simply isn't enough time to do a quality film. Way too much silence on the project for it to be moving along at the pace needed by this time in the production.

Don't trust anything from IMDB unless it's from a official source. IMDB will add random place holder dates until a official release date is made since Iron Man 3 was listed down for 2012 at one point.

Which is why I said I don't actually know when we're supposed to get it.

In all honesty, people need to stop attaching themselves. 2012 was a tentative date and was given before the film was even in any real production stage. Wasn't really a reliable date to go off.

I created this thread because I believe that Legendary Pictures is further in production than they are making public. I won't say they got as far as to begin filming yet but I would think they had a script and some story boards completed by now along with concept art. Yes I know that they haven't officially announced a writer yet but there isn't enough mainstream attention for this project to have up to the minute updates like Man Of Steel or Dark Knight rises you understand? Godzilla will just happen like Cloverfield with something totally unexpected.

We know that director Gareth Edwards is kept quiet on the subject. LP has more than they're telling us for sure. I won't be surprised to see trailers by next super ball.

Well yeah, rushed movies suck. Common sense there. But I would hold out on the doom and gloom talk until we actually start hearing about it. I mean, they didn't even find a director until a few month ago.

I wonder after all this time how is it possible to have a blank sheet of paper? Gareth Edwards mentioned the movie is in development and is moving along. Im sure filming will begin by late june.

You're making assumptions. Who's to say they didn't spend most of this time looking for someone just to write it?

I’ll just wait and see if they announce something at comic con. Maybe that’s why there being all secretive and won’t say anything, because they want to have a big special announcement at Comic Con or something along the lines of that. It certainly would be fitting because the whole world would then know of the films existence and what an announcement it would be. This is just my hunch all we can do is guess and wait.
