Pffft, who cares about some stupid overgrown pest when you can focus on the sizzling onscreen romance of Audrey Timmonds and Nick Tat...Tato...the Worm Guy? Oh those two, so wacky and zany! Don't you just love them? Their wacky hijinks just light up the screen, and even though their relationship had its ups and downs, was it really ever in doubt that these two star crossed lovers would make it in the end?
Poking fun at GINO's shitty love story aside, I think doing a shortened origin 'story' has its advantages and if done well enough, could work.

There's only one Godzilla movie in the entire series that goes into ANY depth on Godzilla's "story".

HeiseiGodzilla117 wrote:Because all of those are a continuation of the original. They're all sequels. This is not.

Not even the original goes into any depth on Godzilla's "story".
And no, they aren't all sequels to the original movie.

HeiseiGodzilla117 wrote:They're all a continuation of the original, with the exception of AMA. They may not all be direct sequels but they do go back to the original in some way.

No, they are not. G'98, G2K, and GFW have no connection whatsoever to the original.

Ethan wrote:GFW does, as the year 1954 is mentioned in the prologue.
