I'd have it very much like the original. It shouldn't be complicated like the Heisei origin. I don't mind them talking about where they think Godzilla comes from, but I don't want it to involve Godzillasaurs and whatnot. I don't know why people are so afraid of Godzilla's origin being discussed in the movie. This is a reboot, they shouldn't just ignore it. This is supposed to re-introduce Godzilla to a whole lot of people.

Well, I'm not against the origin being discussed. I prefer that they talk about it at least a little bit. But, I just want the origin itself to be simple.

I think the origin should be plain and simple, and just show that he's not some random iguana exposed to nuclear fallout.

There is bit of a supernatural/mysterious quality behind his origin, and I hope they preserve that. I don't think he should be a particular dinosaur (like a Godzillasaurus, I always felt that origin story in the Heisi series was kinda tacky), and they should leave some of it to speculation.

^^ This, but i hope little time is spent on Godzilla's Origin, It's been 56 years most audiences will already know where he came from an if they don't they have 28 other movies to tell them.

They should just mention that the Japanese had a myth or a Legend that a Giant Monster called 'Godzilla' attacked them in the 1950's but there was no proof or any evidence to support the story just they were completely destroyed.

Then Godzilla comes an skreeonk everything up. Obviously im not writer but i really hope they don't spend to much time on his Origin.. One of the thing's i thought that worked in the 1998 movie is how they handled how it was created. They got the point across without it becoming a bore.

i would deffinately like the feel of a mystery sort of thing. ofcourse somehow its gonna have to be related to the hbomb. but if they could breifly montage through some sort of time line with mysterious occurrences.. sightings..

Not trying to be off topic but the first time i heard about that^ Big G was the first thing that popped into my head.. as nerdy as that sounds lmao.

i really enjoy the beginning of the original movie. how all those boats gets sunk and destroyed. Godzilla is a mystery until they ultimately find him on the island.
I think a lot more can be done with that aspect and think it could be really neat. anyone agree?

thats how i like it. but if they had to know the origin, id say japan was attacked by a legendary sea dragon named "Gojira", or Irradiated dinosaur. dragon idea came from the chinese zodiac, 2012 is the year of the dragon.

That's a pretty cool idea. And maybe if Godzilla's opponent is also aquatic, the sound can be picked up while Godzilla's known to be on land, freaking everyone out. That'd make for a neat little scene.

I have to agree with the keep his origins mysterious sentiment. Connect him with radiation, connect him with dinosaurs but otherwise don't stop the film to tell us where Godzilla came from.
