Military Speculation (nationality, battles, masers, Super-X)

And maser tanks aren't going to break the audience's suspension of disbelief. If we can accept sound wave tanks in the Incredible Hulk, the Ironman suit in general, and the flying battleship in The Avengers, I'm sure maser tanks would be accepted as well. Unlike, say, a Super X or Mechagodzilla.

A mechagodzilla is definately out of the question. Why would you spend so much time designing a robot that looks like the monster that its designed to kill. The super x would be fine though. Its bascially a flying tank, which isn't too unrealistic when compared to things in recent movies.

Based on what Edwards said, it's safe to assume this film will have a more grounded down to earth feel, so no fancy stuff yet.

^ So are the new Batman films, yet they still have the Batmobile. I don't think a maser tank is out of the question. They're almost as famous as some of the monsters themselves, the iconic Godzillaverse weapon.

But one thing for sure, there will be military involvement, maybe even some new weapons. The us has been testing "ray like" guns, and it be pretty cool seeing it in a American Godzilla movie, it most likely would be a prototype.

Also could someone please bump this? I have to do the "Planes", "Navy Ships", "Helicopters", "Unmanned Ground Vehicles", "Unmanned Air vehicles", and "Individual Soldiers"...
