Some subtle character humor that's appropriate in the moment. I'd rather avoid 'Comedy Relief' characters, but would rather the humor to come through chemistry between the characters.

If it's anything like Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen's low-brow humor, this movie is doomed.

^This. I always enjoy character interactions more then scenes obviously designed to be funny. This is one thing that the recent Star Trek and Transformers films differ in. Star Trek succeeded in being funny because of its great cast and chemistry. Transformers tried to shoe horn in vulgar jokes to win over its obvious. It didnt work.

Decent amounts. The last thing the Godzilla series needs is a big budget boreshow filled with lame, overly dramatic characters who exist only to scream, cry, whine, and then fall in love at the end.

One or two characters like Animal from G'98 would sell it for me. Like it or hate it, G'98 also had some decent funny moments (as most Emerich movies tend to it seems), especially the Jean Reno and Broderick scenes when sneaking back into the city. Then again, Animal (forget his actor's name) and Jean Reno helped make the movie tolerable. Maybe not save it, but those are the type of characters I hope to see.

But this is what we'll probably get. I'm pretty sure of that.

Expect, huh? Not want?

I'm just going off the director, but for the time being I only expect minimal comedy. Maybe a little bit of dry humor.

The kind of humour seen in Mothra vs. Godzilla. Just there to liven things up but not enough to make it seem silly.

... And another post is made where I'm glad Tyler has no authority on this movie.

What do I expect for humor? The intelligent kind. Any more of this low-brow, trailer trash, drunk hillbilly type of humor that you have to be a complete child to find funny, I'm gonna crack!

I definitely want at least a few funny quips or one-liners in there somewhere. As Ghostbusters has taught us so well, people being scared can be funny as hell.

Witty humor only when it's necessary. Other than that, it needs to be serious.
