I fully accept that Godzilla lost that fight.

Anticlimactic is probably the better way to describe it. Again, they go in the sea, Kong comes up and the movie's all like "Kong wins!" and I'm just left there thinking "That's it? Really?".

Lately it seems like you've got the biggest chip on your shoulder dude. Did it occur to you that maybe he just doesn't like the Monsterverse and would rather have no movies in the immediate future than more movies he's not likely to enjoy? As they say, quality over quantity. No reason to jump into immediate victim mode.

I agree with this. The Godzilla drought from 2004 to 2014 took up a good portion of my life, and while I had some time to absorb many Godzilla-related media, I don't see why a Godzilla fan would want anything Godzilla related to end. Especially big budget Hollywood Godzilla films. I can definitely understand if they don't like the Monsterverse, but what about seeing the kaiju fight with excellent CGI? Seeing monster fights we never would have seen in the Toho films? What about Godzilla gaining more popularity, that's always good!? I have seen this opinion floating around and am curious as to why some people feel this way.

That Godzilla drought was definitely an awkward time in life. Deviantart was rising (especially Matt Frank's Neo Godzilla series), and the Godzilla games were coming out, but it felt so empty. I hope nothing like that happens again. 10 years is a LONG time!
