Other than the spine change, which doesn't explain the tail change. I've said in another topic I know the teams who work on the comics and the teams who work on the movies are different, but whoever decides what is and isn't canon really needs to have better communication between the two.

Absolutely. I saw the film last night and there's several stuff that seems to contradict the events of the graphic novel.

My guess is that the films are made long before the prequel comics are written, so I guess you could say that they're irrelevant, if that makes sense. Like, they're not really mentioned in the film as far as I can tell (indeed, sometimes even outright contradicted) so they may as well not really be canon even though "officially" they are

The novelization at least does make an effort to link Awakening and Aftershock to the official canon, with the Shinomura and Jenshin Mushi namedropped on several occasions and some dialogue added to reference the events of Aftershock

Oh yeah I expect the films to be made without regard to these comics I expect the comic writers to figure out how to add their work into the story line of the films. Is the novel of KOTM out? It links these two comics back into the films?

A not-so-limited preview is out, and yeah it links the comics to the films. In the very first few pages Emma's internal monologue mentions that Godzilla fought "another MUTO in more remote areas" only a few months after San Francisco, and Jinshin Mushi later gets namedropped a couple times, and like I said there's some added dialogue about Aftershock (at one point Jonah mentions that Emma had foiled a Titan related plan of his in 2014, and characters discuss how Emma used the ORCA to try and calm Jinshin Mushi and failed). At another point, Serizawa reminisces over the events of Awakening and namedrops the Shinomura.

So just finished reading it, ok but not the best thing ever. A ok little side story. The only real hiccup in the logic of this new monster is that the humans act like the MUTO never laid eggs, as they suggest the female would have eater her mate. We all know this is not the case.

As I see it Jenshin-Mushi is the MUTO's genetic time capsule. Once they burn up all resources and kill each other off, the strongest female will eat her mate and go into hibernation. During this time she will develop into a new Jenshin-Mushi, who will hunt down the a suitable host in the future, from which to start the cycle all over again. When exactly the Jenshin-Mushi gives up it's role is never stated. Possibly once the MUTO reach a certain population size, some genetic trigger activates in it's body and it dies.

The Jenshin-Mushi functions as a solitary super predator, unlike the team combo of the normal Male and Female MUTO. The normal MUTO's function as an all-round adaptable team who can battle against all manner of threats and hunt a wide variety of prey. TheJenshin-Mushi specialises in hunting Godzilla alone. It's entire strategy is based on exploiting the "saviour" like character trait of Godzillas. They seem to instinctively track down sources of ecological disruption, the Jenshin-Mushi goes out of it's way to cause such events. It then engages in gorilla warfare with the Godzilla, relying on it's thick armour plating and burrowing abilities to outlast it's prey, wear them down then run. Once the Godzilla is sufficiently weakened, it's deals the cu degras and infects them.

At first I thought the Ghidorah cameo was a goof up but it's yellow like some kind of stone and not blue like ice. We do know thanks to K:SI that they found cave paintings of Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah long before they found said monsters themselves.

The artist just got lazy and photoshop the frozen Ghidorah image into looking like a cave painting instead of ice.

Muto Prime defeat Dagon and almost defeat Godzilla. If Godzilla only won with Monarch's help, theoretically the M.U.T.O is the true native alpha species.

I just thought it was ice at a weird angle and lighting.

Book is impossible to find. Can't find it online. Can't find it in stores. Want to read it by Friday.

This is very frustrating. Anyone have a link to purchase an Ebook?

You know what's really consistent? Godzilla survives nukes, and his dorsal plates are fine. Godzilla falls from the troposphere or stratosphere, and his dorsal plates are fine. Godzilla is screamed at by MUTO prime, and his dorsal plates shatter. Okay.

It should be on Amazon. An Ebook would be nice though so I can finally make a MONARCH Files video on Muto Prime. I needpictures of that profile and not blurry, I need a good HQ scan.

Muto Prime is laying eggs, not out right defeating Godzilla or Dagon.
