Sorry, I'm just poking fun at it because I can't really see a reason to join in the discussion just to say you don't care about it? If that makes sense? :|
No offence.

What’s the closest a movie has been to release and been delayed? Now under the 4 month mark, I don’t think many films have been delayed so close to release. In any instance are there other films that come off the top of your head having a late delay near release?

As far as we know, no production issuesor other underlying problems, etc

G.I Joe was two months from being release, but got pushed back like,7 months or so. GVK ain't so far behind if it is being delayed.

Do you know if there were production issues that were public known with that film though? Who knows , GvK may and LP and WB being tight lipped but so far nothing is really known

I remember "New Mutants" being pushed back only 2-3 months before it's release. Not trying to cause panic, as I think that movie is certainly an exception to the rule.

So I remember hearing that test screenings deemed GI Joe almost unwatchable, so it was delayed 8 months for reshoots, the result being that it was watchable but still mediocre. Which is why I’m worried for GvK if it does get delayed.

Gvk has been in Post Production for 7 months now. The movie is supposed to release in 4 months from now.

Here is a perspective:

- Godzilla 2014's Post Production took 8 months to finish.

- Kong Skull Island's Post Production took about 9 - 10 months to finish.

- Godzilla: King of the Monsters's Post Production took 13 months to finish.

Edit: If the movie is coming out on March (4 months from now), those CGI editors HAVE to be working overtime. CGI is not easy lol

1. This film is being done by WETA. Have faith. It’s going to be the best looking effects of the bunch so far.

2. Post production timelines are highly suspect. For instance, GKOTM was in the can, a finished film, for over five months before its release.

Who did the visual effects for KOTM? It wasn't WETA correct? Also do you know who did Kong SKull Island?

KSI and G14 were both made by WETA. KOTM was made by some 3rd party animators.

KSI was ILM

Heres a link of all the Post-Production companies that worked on G:KotM:
https://www.artofvfx.com/godzilla-king-of-monsters/

No wonder it took 13 months to finish. Thats wayyyy too many companies working on the film.

WETA did do Godzilla 2014 and doing GvK now.

ILM did do Skull Island:

Have to laugh. GvK's VFX Supervisor's name is Kevin Smith. Jay and Silent Bob confirmed for Monsterverse.

So the question is, which do we believe would do a better job?

G14 had the better atmosphere, but K:SI had the better textures.

I mean, K:Si had advanced slightly in technology due to being 3 years ahead of Godzilla 2014.
