Didn't Kong get dropped and knocked out by a few canisters of gasoline that caused fire to spread across a lake in K:SI? Ohhh, I thought we were comparing the characters in general. To be fair, In the 62 film Kong had enough agility to hop out of the way of the blast a few seconds in which is why it only really singed his fur.
