How much change can reshoots really make?

A lot, actually. Biggest historial example I can think of is 1986’s Little Shop of Horrors, where they scrapped the entire original ending (including a multi-million dollar effects sequence that honestly ranks with some of the best kaiju films out there) after test audiences objected to it’s dark tone and the death of the main characters

They finally released a director's cut with the original ending restored to the film, though.

I'll have to watch it now, since I got it on DVD. I'll bet it's great.

Not sure how well you may be able to answer this but since you said there will be more monsters, I'm curious to know how the film focuses on them. Is there an emphasis on just Godzilla vs. Kong with the other monsters regulated to background roles at best or are they linked to the K & G's conflict?

I'm not sure how familiar with Godzilla outside the monsterverse or not, but I find that really fascinating. A lot of early Godzilla stuff, focused heavily on the idea that the Earth had many monsters like Godzilla/Anguirus. Whether or not this is intentional, it'll be really cool to see.

More Monsters? Genuinely wasn't expecting that.
How much of the Hollow Earth are we going to see in GvK? Also, are any of the monsters in the Earth Toho ones, or are they all completely original, like KOTM? Or maybe a mixture of both?

Sounds like my original thoughts that maybe this is a team Godzilla vs Team Kong movie with the main focus being the two monsters is coming true. Some titans will see Kong as leader and others are still Loyal to Godzilla.

Also sounds like Jörmungandr isn't off the table yet.

Even if it's more Godzilla and Kong wont be overshadowed. Just have the other Titans cower when the two Alphas show up.

I'd be okay with a few scenes of Godzilla and Kong beating up other monsters, leading up to their fight. Doesn't have to be long or drawn out. Just Godzilla or Kong beating up other monsters as a showcase to their dominance. It'd be cool if Kong's entrance is the Camazots's carcass dropping, and revealing that Kong had just beaten him.
