^^Same. Gigan would be f***ing oddball. I don't even need to describe how ridiculous an enemy Megalon would be.

Actually, no. I just think a Mecha King Ghidorah would be a great plotline.

If it is Anguirus,Rodan or Mothra let them escape and join Godzilla later.

If it is Gigan,Ghidorah,Ebirah,Megaguirus or Megalon let them escape and make the join the big bad of the next movie.

If it is Gabara,DIE DIE DIIIIIEEE!!!!

Hmm...I think it depends on how Godzilla is characterized, if he's the 'juggernaut of destruction' like in GMK, yeah, kill them. If he's an animalistic, territoral Godzilla, it's not out of character he'd let the monster get away if it retreats after he trounces it, animals don't always kill their rivals, they win, the rival surrenders (how this is shown varies by species) and are allowed to flee.

I could see maybe Anguirus or Rodan fighting Godzilla early in the film and get defeated, but Godzilla spares them because they give up and run away after he's beaten them badly enough. Then later, when Godzilla is facing a more powerful enemy, he kills it because it just won't quit or beats him earlier, then its personal.

If the monster is someone like Rodan then I can see Godzilla knocking him or her out then have the monster come back for the sequel to team up with Godzilla against a bigger villain.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I don't want Angy or Rodan. Chasing them away is kinda unsatisfying. I want Godzilla to blow his foe to bits or tear him to shreds.

What if a monster is near death and the army captures it to experiment on it?

That's a damn good book. Honestly, Cerasini's novels have the best approach to the series I've seen in recent years. The monsters are important and they actually effect what happens to the human characters. Sure the novels are flawed, but their better then Tristar and Toho's recent attempts.

Why does everyone assume Godzilla will win? I think the new monster should kill Godzilla. What a way to end the movie, no one would see it coming.

While that would certainly be cool, it won't happen for several reasons. First off, I'm pretty sure Legendary wants to keep the possibility of a franchise open. Most importantly though, most fans and casual viewers don't want to see Godzilla lose. They want to see the Monster King be just what his name suggests. Audiences may actually feel cheated if Godzilla dies. Also, by doing so you take away the spotlight from Godzilla. It makes the other monster seem not only more powerful but more important than Goji.

Yeah... I think that if they want this movie to be a success (which they DO), they'll keep Goji alive and kicking. The enemies fate(s) on the other hand is a/are wild card(s).

Point taken. Perhaps both could die fighting each other, stalemate. Or they could pull a Mothra, have Godzilla killed by the monster and then see that he has offspring who will continue the fight. I'm just tired of Godzilla being his usual immortal self. I really believe Godzilla just has to die somehow in this one.

I really don't want any Godzilla babies in this. It needs to distance itself away from GINO as much as possible.

Just an idea, they could do what Toho wanted Tristar to do, continue off Godzilla vs. Destoroyah and have this one be the full grown Jr. Unlikely, but possible.
