With Godzilla having his trademark atomic breath I can't help but wonder...will Kong get his electricity?

And yes, by definition it's not his because Kong was originally planned to be Frankenstein's Monster which had electric abilities and is likely the only reason Kong ever even had these abilities. But it would still be a very nice call back to give Kong something akin to that. What do ya'll see the likelyhood being? Me personally though in all honesty I don't believe there's a chance in hell. Or even a reason given how good of a fighter Kong naturally is and the fact that he'll likely be scaled to be able to actually grapple and smart enough to use his environment to his advantage. That's plenty level playing field as it is and realistically speaking the electricity would be overkill. I just believe that visually it would look great in CGI.

Maybe. I admit using electricity would be a good way to bring Kong back to life if he died, it'd be a nice reference and throwback to the 1962 film.

Eh, closest I see them coming to it is Kong using one of those large power poles or towers or whatever, or the electrical cable, as a weapon. A way to not give him a power that's silly for the character, but still reference it in a way that makes sense.

Probably not, KSI would have established whether Kong has any additional powers if they were going down that route, to make things less contrived.

I think they want King Kong to be a badass normal as in the only real power he has is being a giant. Nor armor, no powers, just his brute strength and wits against Godzilla. The Atomic Breath ill be a problem but it's also heavily telegraphed. I think Monsterverse Kong beating Godzilla will be more impressivve than Showa kong since he 1. can be harmed by just normal fire and 2. has no powers, Showa King Kong had lightning touch helping him.
