Whiplash Tongue: Like a chameleon or frog, the Skullcrawler was able to stretch it's tongue out a considerable distance, pulling in potential prey to devour it. While effective against against small targets it could also be used on much larger prey to restrain their limbs as the Skullcrawler goes to finish them off with it's claws. But it is a risk-reward balancing act, as intelligent monsters such as King Kong will pull on it to rip out vital organs, effectively killing the Skullcrawler.
Constricting Body: Due to their snake like bodies, the creatures, much like Manda were able to restrain enemies with their tails while finishing them off with their mouth and claws. Even more impressive the largest Skullcrawler was able to use it's tail, in conjuncture with his and Kong's momentum in their fight, to throw Kong not only off of him but several distances away while he got back on his feet. The Skullcrawlers have the intelligence to not only restrain their enemy but also throw them.
