KSI had a good cast, but Brie Larson was NOT a Best Actress Award winner when they cast her. LP just got that casting right out of luck honestly. Tom Hiddleston is far from being a star... He's only known for playing Loki. John Goodman is recognizable... And obviously SLJ is in everything. I admit SLJ stands out a bit more just because of who he is, but the cast overall isn't as huge as one might think.

GKOTK has great talent on board.

but isn't that true for almost every conventionally attractive female in a movie? I mean, It's part of film design. Movies are going to take advantage of that whenever they can.

Eh I like Larson fine as an actress and she got a great figure but I don't think she's pretty. I liked her character in KSI though. On the other hand I've completely fallen for Elizabeth Olsen. She was so hot as Scarlet Witch how could I not!

I just think she's really cute and is the kind of girl who you could sit on the couch and play Super Smash Bros with while eating pizza. Like, Scarlett Johannson is fine as all hell, but she's not exactly "cute"; she might be fun to bang but would otherwise make for a dull relationship.

Tom Hiddleston is very popular; the Marvel movies are huge, and he's also a big heart-throb with female audiences. The guy has over 3 million followers on Twitter. In terms of profile, him and Jackson are bigger stars than anyone announced for KotM so far.

I'm a big comedy buff & I really enjoy his character on Silicon Valley. He plays the "nerd" type well

I think it's another great cast-member, another sort of 'Not some mega-star that detracts attention, but is recognizable from at least one noteworthy property'

I've seen a few episodes of Silicon Valley and thought he was very good in it.

This cast feels quite eclectic, with a good range of personalities and faces. Getting individuality in an ensemble cast, making the humans stand out and feel unique is a tough thing to do. In Kaiju films it can get easy for 'the humans' to just feel like the random sea of faces keeping tabs on the monsters.

Little fun fact about Middleditch, he actually had a small part in Kong: Skull Island. He did the voice-over of Jerry, the person on the phone with Mason Weaver near the start of the film.

He's one of the last guys I would've expected to be cast in a film like this. Some people might know him as the drop the mic guy from the Verizon commercials.
