Oshea Jackson Jr. is doing press tour stuff for his latest film "Den of Thieves". Talks a little bit about KotM. Nothing crazy, but a little something to break the dry spell.

Edit: Welp! Got beat to the punch lol

Kidding me? That's way more than "nothing crazy", that's insane! Can't wait

To be fair, I was only able to watch a part of it on low volume since I'm still at work lol.

Now that I was able to watch it in full, I'm stoked. He definitely spoiled more than I thought he would. Love how excited he is about the film.

Look forward to hear from the rest of the cast!

That's the one thing about this cast, they seem to have had a great time making this film and have been very enthusiastic about it. For the most part the cast of G14 acted like they were pretty much just there for a paycheck. Cranston was the only one who really seemed to have any fun.

Damn, I came here to post this news too. The fact that he says you will remember the final showdown between Godzilla and King Ghidorah "FOR LIFE" is enough to sell me on it. Interesting that he didn't mention Mothra as a memorable component for the final fight, but Godzilla and Ghidorah only feels right. I can't believe this movie has finished shooting a while back and won't be released until March 2019. I'm sure if they wanted to, they could push for late 2018. Has there ever been a movie that finished filming a year and a half before its premier? This wait is so tough lol

I dunno yeah just Godzilla vs. Ghidorah is fun but my ideal Ghidorah is one that needs monsters teaming up just to defeat him.

More and more I think that they are really going to hit a home-run with this one in terms of giving the fans exactly what they want in terms of tone, visuals, action, etc.

I love the cast, the monster roster, and the release date. A long post-production period gives them a TON of time in the editing room, honing in the final cut of the film, and a ton of time to work on the VFX. Also, the nerd in me loves getting a film for the 65 year anniversary of the character.

I think it’s been stengethed by how different it’ll be compared to the current direction Toho is heading their end of the franchise with Shin and monster planet. I think people will be more excited to see a more standard Godzilla film, that as of now appears to just be a big big remake. If Shin godzilla was just a more standard film about monsters fighting I wouldn’t be so excited that King Ghidorah was appearing again.

Indeed, no matter what the reasoning...I love that we have 3 very distinct flavors of Godzilla out right now.

You go back to the dual versions of the original film. Godzilla is a dark allegory that had a ton of commentary on the climate and state of Japan at the time. Godzilla: King of the Monsters was reconfigured in a way that was a more straightforward monster thriller.

Thus is the divide in the Legendary and Toho incarnations we have. Legendary is making a sort of Neo-Showa series infused with a modern blockbuster tone(And aptly have a film called Godzilla: King of the Monsters) while Shin Godzilla was the almost a literal modernization of the intense level of commentary and allegory that was in the original Japanese film. Two sides of the same coin...only represented by two completely different films instead of two versions of the same production.

The Anime Trilogy gets to be a 3rd flavor entirely. A way to embrace the craziest sci-fi and campy aspects of the series(giant monsters everywhere, aliens, insane super weapons) in a setting of the distant future that allows them to be plausible in a hard sci-fi setting.

3 series that embrace 3 different angles of the Godzilla mythos.

After seeing the two interviews with O’Shea in which he brings up the film, I am now looking forward to seeing him quite a bit.
