I really glad that like with KK05 the creators really went out of their way to develop the lifeforms on the island. Even if the island looks a bit barren within the film itself.

We know there's a species of poisonous pufferfish that causes psychosis when eaten. I imagine there's probably some environmental camouflage going on down there. to me, that means Coral, Kelp, Mangroves, and sand.

for coral I'd imagine some sort of slow metabolizing crustacean like a hermit crab.

For kelp, definitely some sort of giant sea dragon. Probably uses suction to pull in loads of fish.

Something spiny would go along with mangroves, so I'd say burrowing lionfish or mantis shrimp.

For sand... I'm not sure. Probably a sort of manta ray or flounder?

Now that I you mention mangroves do you think its possible there is a relative of the Mother Longlegs but with mangrove like legs that hunts coastal animals like large fish, sharks, etc?
