On March 1st, 1954 at exactly 8:50AM, Operation: Lucky Dragon commenced.

See, what I said in response to LC only worked because he was supporting a design that most others agreed was tacky, overdone, and generally all around god-awful. And LC knows me well enough to understand that I was being a cheeky shit and wasn't actually putting him down.
Your comment wasn't really relevant to me, as I detest that design and you could probably cause my flesh to sizzle and melt if you pressed a copy of Godzilla's Revenge to it.
Now, if you'd made a quip about me being a puffed-up, snarky LP Godzilla fanboi, THAT would've been funny.

Fat chance. I got a warning for "trolling" LC, and I'll probably get a warning for the post after that.

I'm with LC on thinking that design is pretty cool, though it could probably do with some toning down. Interesting concept nonetheless.

At least you guys agree... I think it is a great design as well (though it can use a little smoothing). If LP does decide to overhaul Godzilla's design, I would hope to see that as it does have much more regard for Toho Godzilla and looks like something you'd see from a new Toho Godzilla movie. If I'm not mistaken, that statue/figure concept was at Comicon when the first trailer was shown, along with several others that ended up being the final design.Living Corpse wrote:I'm a 90's kid, can you tell?

You know what I think the design could work well for? A super-radiated form of Godzilla. Like if the military just kept dropping nukes on him over and over and he kept getting stronger.

I see that we've begun posting fan designs again.
Christ, it's 2010 all over again.
His design will not change drastically. Get over it. At most, maybe a few scars, possibly a Burning Godzilla in the future. But nothing major.

Re: Would you like to see Godzilla's design change?
For the record, I don't want Legendary Godzilla to change unless they go the burning route. I like the design Missingno posted, but I don't think it should replace the current one. And I was offering a scenario in which that design could make sense, in more of a general sense. It wouldn't work for the legendary series.

Thinking they would change the design that drastically is perhaps the dumbest thing I've read on this forum.

Burning Godzilla has been done exactly once. Ghidorah and Mothra have been done to death and we're getting them in the sequel. Gareth and company could do so much to expand on the concept of a Burning Godzilla while putting their own twists on it, and I think it would look beautiful with how capable at CGI the graphics team is. I also have no problem whatsoever if Gareth and company don't do a Burning Godzilla, it's just something I think would be really cool if they did it.G_Man wrote:Minor t weeks would work. That sounds dumb in a completely wonderful way. I'd watch it without hesitation.Living Corpse wrote:Godzilla 2099, Godzilla in a what if future!

There's no denying that it would definitely be nice to see in cgi. Concerning Mothra, Rodan an Ghidorah I was hoping we wouldn't get Mothra but oh well.
