Just some slight adjustments, nothing to radical. I like the design though it looks better in some angles that others.

^ LOL I just rewatched the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of this movie right before I checked this. What an awesome design
Oh and I doubt 4 years of computer advancement would help much of his design. 20 years later and the Rex from Jurassic Park still looks fantastic.

I'm not sure how I feel about feathered dinosaurs. because on one hand, thinking about a feathered T. rex makes me laugh, but one the other hand, it's still a T. rex and isn't any less dangerous.RumbleJapan wrote:Giant feathered chickens still terrify me.Tyrant_Lizard_King wrote:Tell that to all the people who wanted feathered dinosaurs in Jurassic World.
I think I'd have to say no to a feathered Godzilla though.

Re: Would you like to see Godzilla's design change?
Count me on the side that prefers to see no change. I suppose if there was a story purpose for it I'd be alright, but that still sounds iffy to me. I really think they nailed his appearance this time and I'd hate to see it change for no reason.
As for the Gamera trilogy comparison made earlier, I'd say the changes weren't too noticeable until the 3rd. In Legion, Gamera's look seemed like a natural progression/refinement from the first film, whereas the third film's spiky look came out of nowhere. I'd rather not see that happen to Godzilla.

No. You want Heisei? Go watch Heisei. You want Millenium? Go watch Millenium. Leave Legendary alone. Let him look like what he looks like.

I'd say that his weight in the current movie was a side effect of his dormancy, which makes sense when you come to think of it.
Now that he's active again, perhaps he could be a bit more fit next time.

Dude, he's the only Godzilla ever to have a concave stomach and thighs without rolls or folds, aside from FW.
What the hell do you want? Why the hell does everyone think this Godzilla is fat when he's one of the least "generous" Godzilla designs we've seen?

He's perfect the way he is.
Maybe just a tad bit more muscular. and Burning Godzilla for Godzilla 3.

Re: Would you like to see Godzilla's design change?
Leave the design alone aside from minor tweaks, such as more rigging, textures, etc.
But, I would love to see what Legendary could do with a Burning Godzilla; they could really make something beautiful and awe-inspiring. If they ever feel like taking their Godzilla series out with a bang, that would be the way to do it. And they could still pull it off under Toho's "Godzilla can't die" thing - if Godzilla went back into the sea while burning and Serizawa said, "He probably won't live much longer", that would imply death without showing it. BG wouldn't have to cause the world to end in this continuity, either. Perhaps it's cold enough in the depths of the ocean that he'd only take out a good amount of surrounding sea life; after all, the Legendary films are going for a more grounded tone. Perhaps a BG in this universe would be akin to a very bad volcanic eruption.

Right. LegenGoji, and I've said this time and time again, is covered in nothing but thick, solid, and layered muscle laced with high impenatrable armor. This Godzilla isn't a fatty with rolls like Heisei was, he's a burley motherfucker who is really in his prime as of right now.Vatarian wrote:LegendZilla wrote:I'd say that his weight in the current movie was a side effect of his dormancy, which makes sense when you come to think of it.

It's already been done. We don't need version two. I believe new movies should go on their own path. If you want decades of reiteration, Transformers is always there for you.KingZillla wrote:What's wrong with the Burning Godzilla story?Vatarian wrote:That's still death, dude. Re: Would you like to see Godzilla's design change?
They're at least more realistic than the giant slipper-feet we've had from the Toho G and the skinny feet we got from Zilla, though. I'd prefer apato-feet over chicken-feet for this universe that Legendary has, especially since that is the Legendary design. I'd see them maybe making his neck and head thicker, maybe add some more muscle to the arms, but not a vastly different foot; it's inconsistent.Legendary Gojira wrote:The only problem I had with Legendary's Gojira is his feet. Not saying I want the kind of feet Toho's Gojiras had, but the stubby feet irked me. Good thing we didn't see them on screen much. If the feet were like S.H. Monsterarts toy Godzilla 2014, it would have been perfect.
Besides, those feet had more importance than most of the Toho Godzilla feet did. :p

I think there are enough new things they could do with a Burning Godzilla to warrant it, but that's just me.

Re: Would you like to see Godzilla's design change?
No, I would not like the design to change. Maybe adjust the detail according to CGI improvements that will be made. It would be inconsistent for immediately noticeable changes to the design to be made. I think they got designing Godzilla right and have to agree trying certain "improvements" will probably not turn out well.
How long has it been? I honestly forgot.

Well I guess in that case Mothra, Ghidorah and Rodan shouldn't be appearing in the Legendary series. they've already been done multiple times
