Gotta say, it's impressive. Reminds me of that time they made the Pacific Rim theme in an 8-bit format, which was equally cool.

Now, why did they use that Goji sprite from that game I don't remember the title of?

Kinda lazily done, but pretty cool I guess. Technically most of it was 16 bit...but oh well

Ha! That was awesome. Shame there wasn't a proper LP Goji sprite, but still cool as hell.

Eh, wasn't very accurate. They forgot to cut away when Godzilla confronted the MUTO at the airport.

Nah, it was fun.

Godzilla sprite = Kaijuu Daikassen
Muto = ??? Unknown custom, but male has Ghidorah's wings, looks to be form Battle Legends

Not true 8Bit, but who cares. It was fun to watch and the remix theme was pleasant :)

I like it, but it seems kind of boring.

Saw this on Matt's FB, a cute homage. The closest to 8-bit about it was probably the music

Yup! Bagan bits, several Bagan bits. Mainly his head along with his shoulder and part of his back spike fins.

The scene moved so fast I missed that.

Why didn't they just release that in the theaters? Hell, I would buy that on Blu-ray.

That was very funny. I love how abruptly the MUTO attacks happened.

This was ace, loved it. More like "16-bit Godzilla" though. ;)

They used it because A) It's a great sprite and B) it's from the Turbografx-16/TurboDuo Godzilla fighting game which is arguably the best Godzilla videogame ever made. And I can say that because I've owned a copy for 20 years since when it was first released in Fall of 1994. Glad I tightly held on to it, goes for $350 average on ebay now. 8-)
