watched it again recently, for the first time in three months. was pretty fun to watch with friends. I MST'd it a bit and spent a lot of time explaining my problems with the film. One of my friends found that interesting, the other found it insufferable, but he and I have a bit of a history with regards to disagreeing about movies.
In my opinion, of course.

My college plays films a couple months after they've been released before the dvd comes out. They were showing it last Friday so I took on of my new friends to see it who's only Godzilla experience was '98 (and Monster Zero that I showed her earlier that day.) It was the darkened version though so I could barely see parts of the finale and not at all with other parts. She thought it was pretty good.

Even though I hate G14 with a fiery passion, I'd still get pissed off if you started talking during the movie. :P

It's a tradition. My friends and I never watch a movie without talking over/about it.
In my opinion, of course.

I've seen GODZILLA about 4 times in theaters now.

On my 4th viewing, which will probably be my last, I saw it where I first watched GODZILLA '98' 16 years ago. If you ask me, it was a nice way to come full circle. ;)

I very much consider TFA to be half-assed. What a generic film which only fed on nostalgia, it brought nothing new to the table.
That's not true. C3PO had a red arm.

Probably wont bother watching it again until if or when the Directors Cut comes out.

5 in the theater and twice at home so far. I loved it and am not ashamed to say that. I believe they did a great job. You can't please everyone though.

2x in theaters, 2nd time was with my 10 year old step-son and part-way through some obnoxious guys walked into the theater right behind us, put their stinky feet up and kept yakking for 30 minutes, making stupid comments, then left about 5 minutes after the bridge scene. Kind of made the experience a bit less pleasant, but I'll end up picking the director's cut on blu-ray and watching it more then.
