I agree. Though I still hope in his sequel we'll see him search for his main food source (nuclear reactors) and gradually increase the potency of his beam. i like the 90s beam better. this did give me the impression of radioactive fire and not a powerful blast.
even though it did move the MUTO, which is impressive, it doesn't feel all that imposing or powerful.
