No........ they could easily afford it. They want to compose their own music most likely. GE wants his own stamp on this movie like most directors.LegendZilla wrote:Because they could only afford to get the rights to Godzilla himself?Godzilla21 wrote:GE already said there will be no Ifkibube music in the movieGodzilla 1986 wrote:I guess that means none of Ifukube's music will be in the film? The music credits didn't list him, whereas in Star Trek and other 'homage' scores they listed the original theme and composer.
Not too saddened by it, but it would have been a nice end credits piece.

I just noticed that the name of visual effects supervisor of Ken McGaugh is misspelled as "Ken Mchugh."

You only get a script credit if you do significant script changes (there are guidelines regarding all that) like 1/3 of the final script or something.
Which is why Goyer and Drew Pearce also do not have any screenwriting credits.

Mostly the WGA decides how much a screenwriter(s) contributions are enough to warrant a screenwriting credit.

Man. That's bullcrap. He's probably not going to want to come back for the sequel now that he didn't get a credit..

How is it bullcrap when he was mainly a SCRIPT DOCTOR, arguably the best in Hollywood? All he did was polish it.

This happens all the time in Hollywood. It's completely normal for writers to script doctor things and not get credit at all. They still get paid for it anyway.Destoroyah of Worlds wrote:Man.
