The force of nature aspect is important, but I think its been over-emphasized in past movies. Thats the extent of Godzilla's character development in the last dozen films, and he hasn't moved beyond that in a long time.
Its important that the filmmaker's understand that Godzilla is more than a monster, he's some unique sort of being that is in a class of its own, along with whatever other creatures they decide to pair him with. So if people say that Godzilla exhibiting higher intelligence is "unrealistic" or "too human-like" then I think that they're wrong, because there isn't any sort of animal today that could be compared to Godzilla.

I mentioned the nuclear reactor. It could easily tie into a Godzilla movie.Tyler wrote:I've been saying this from the start

They don't have to reference the events exactly but it already seems like something he would do. Come out of the sea, cause a lot of damage and single out a nuclear plant.
They could also make Godzilla the cause of a tsunami or earthquake almost as a reference to these natural disasters occurring across the Earth.
Come fourth, Ghidorah! Great Golden Winged Destroyer; deliver onto us a beautiful demise!

A warm welcome to you, garywest.
I love the fact that Edwards will be incorporating some real world events that have happened into the film - I find that a tad more exciting as, if the film was based on true life events, it would make the experience of the film a tad more scarier, as if it could really happen.
