-GINO (big effin' duh).
-A Godzilla with feathers (sure it's different, but if that's your only reasoning for putting them on him, then they're just a tacky add-on).
-Lardzilla.
-A Godzilla that's pushing the 'ExTrEmE!1' envelope.
-Something that strays so far off that it may as well be a new monster entirely.
-A steroid-abusing Godzilla (Ex: 90's).

I agree completely. We can have a refreshing design without having to resort to any of those.

Well that's true, you don't need him to look like those pictures to send the message that he's evil. Although I must say that I don't find most of them to be over-designed to the point of goofiness. Mainly the Honey-Bones Godzilla 54. I find that particular design to be very good and impressive. Sure, it has some spiky-ness here and there, and has no pupils, but those aren't any flaws to me personally. Some may find the design extreme, but its pretty tame when compared to others.

And come on folks, I know that us Americans like doing extreme designs, or extreme creations. (Not exactly sure why though, probably just trying to make it different yet awesome). But hey, we aren't the only ones. Toho themselves even held some extreme deals as well

I actually like the two Kiryu designs, shows off he really is a corpse turned into a cyborg and that heavily mutated Godzilla I would have preferred show up in GFW, it'd at least make it stand out from the other Godzilla past designs more.

The Ghidorah ones suck thoguh.

The two kiryu designs do look sweet, but they are somewhat extreme like something from sky-net or from the movie 9. Though personally, to me it seems those designs would only work if the original Godzilla's corpse still had some flesh or tissue left over from the OD.

And yeah...That Ghidorah is overboard O.o Whoever was drawing that out either was going extremely far into the alien part of Ghidorah's character, or was on something strong.

About the skin thing, they could always grow it back. In fact the Kiryu we did get either has it's muscles grown back or artificial muscles. You can see it in the gaps of the armor, they look like exposed wires but there not cause even the people in the Kiryu saga are not that dumb.

I'm the only one who does not want a design that looks like G2K/GXM? I think it's a decent design but I find it overrated and I want something different.

Considering Kiryu's infamous blue-screening, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if those actually were exposed circuits.

Trying to defend a city from a force that you deem destructive and have no clue as to why it keeps coming back, only to find out that you yourself are the reason and the blame...Yeah, beyond structuring Kiryu, I think they were that dumb lol.

Then again, most situations like that aren't realized until its too late.

But getting back on topic!

Godzilla should be and look tamely extreme! And maybe a bit balanced with his nuclear attacks. And by that I mean like Godzilla 1989, he couldn't always spam his beam too much or else he would run on empty and to look for more power plants. That's what I mainly love about that incarnation, it was somewhat balanced.

Personally, I prefer something that has a classic Godzilla look. But, I am more into the Showa era more than anything (though the Heisei Goji's face looks better).

Exposed wires would have burned away from just one hit.

Yeah even the dumbasses in Kiryu are not that dumb.

BOT, I really hope this "Burning" form that one guy talked about is either rejected or saved for another film. I want people to see the real deal but still "normal" at least for the first flick, save the super mutated forms for the grand final, like the last film if there is gonna be more.

This will always be my favorite. Even the bluish hue is perfect. This design could work in a real world setting, and reflects the character of Godzilla through all his eras.

I personally think that is the best Godzilla design that meshing modern aesthetics with Godzilla's overall design theme.
But I, that am not shaped for sportive tricks
Nor made to court an amorous looking-glass;
I, that am rudely stamped, and want love's majesty
To strut before a wanton ambling nymph.

Love it! It looks like a modern version of a Showa Goji.

It does look very nice, I really enjoy the feet on it. The new Godzilla does need to have some Show aspects.

My idea was for the first movie make him look sorta like the original from 1954, then kill him in whatever way seems best (I personally think it should be with the Oxygen Dstroyer) then have a sequal having the Godzilla looking new, and then making a series of movies, with the same Godzilla. Kinda ending the series with a remake of DAM (Not GFW)
The world would be so much nicer if people only used guns on themselves.

Uchusen does some great stuff but something about that Godzilla seems a bit funky to me.

No discernible calf muscles? Other than that, it does look like something that would look good in a new movie. The nose is missing the cat muzzle, but it does look like the one of the noses on one of Showa Ghidorah's heads, vaguely crocodillian. Best of all, the fingerlike spines on the plates are still there, but sharpened to nice points.

I LOVE that design, but the way the artist painted it makes Godzilla look so much smaller then he really is. That Car in the corner throws it all off.

The fact that so many of us notoriously picky fans just heartily agreed on the effectiveness of one design is.... awe inspiring. Yet it also creates a problem...

To me, the above design is executed so well that if something similar or of the same high quality isnt used in the film... now we'll all be that much more dissapointed...
