I think this will be our fear if Japan doesn't like the movie. So far I hear good things about the movie from peeps and friends. Lets hope Japan does. Read this a friend of mine on Skype gave this to me and I have to agree with the article: http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/entertainm ... m.html.csp

^Imo, Godzilla 2014 stays faithful to the original Gojira. I don't live in Japan, nor am I Japanese, so perhaps they'll view it differently. But as a lifelong Godzilla fan, I can honestly say that, for me, this is best film since the original.

I can see that. I also got a very HB Godzilla vibe from him.Living Corpse wrote:From what I got from the movie is that he's like a less crazy, more tone downed Super Hero Godzilla like the 70's version.

I enjoyed the movie, but my biggest fears did come true - lack of screen time for Godzilla, cheesy, bad acting (mostly military).

I didn't see him as a good guy at all.
Just a predator hunting his prey.
Nothing more.

Thank god you were diligent enough to bump this thread for the first time in a month, someone might have posted in it by accident.
In my opinion, of course.

Hence why the Showa era wasn't that good overall.Castellan Zilla wrote:Just described the vast majority of the Showa era.Killswitch wrote:I enjoyed the movie, but my biggest fears did come true - lack of screen time for Godzilla, cheesy, bad acting (mostly military).
