Oh ok thanks, that's why I brought it up. It would be strange for them to use mechagodzilla seeing as how Legendary has Pacific Rim's franchise going on right now. I feel like it would be a bit redundant.

Regardless though it's great news about the new writer, trick or treat is one of my favorite horror movies. I was really hoping they'd get rid of Borenstien because his script was pretty bland.

They are making Ready Player One. Filming now!

Hope they got the rights from Toho

Hopefully they did. That final battle alone would be the price of admission if Mechagodzilla actually shows up.

That entire climax is a copyright nightmare, though. No way they're pulling it off.

I imagine having Steven Spielberg bringing his attorneys will help. Honestly, I only see Toho being stingy about it due to what happens with Mechagodzilla there. It's already been confirmed that a huge chunk of the cameos and references have made it in, at least if set reports are to be believed.

Good point I was about to say that. I'll be shocked if they even get half of those characters. I'm hoping the lure of a big Hollywood budget and Spielberg's clout gets them more than we are expecting.

That and how could they insert a giant robot in the second film when they don't even have story build up to either an alien or a technological version made by man? Just taking the world by its own, it'd be like if the Power Rangers shown up to kill Godzilla at the last second and flew off. It'd fele cheap.

I bet it will probably be the latter and likely be in the third or fourth movie, because LP Godzilla is basically at the same technological advantage as Shin Godzilla's world was. If we're going for a grounded world, I doubt the tech will be available for years. If alien, it would require them knowing about Godzilla and basically would be a response to the events of 2, assuming Ghidorah is an alien this time around.

Keo Woolford, who played an airport worker in Godzilla but is better known for a recurring role on Hawaii Five-0, has died of a stroke at age 49.

Perhaps not a big name in the movie, but still sad to hear, especially at a young age.

The antagonist uses Mechagodzilla to fight the final battle. Pretty interesting book

I think Ultraman and the Spiderman mech from the Sentai Spiderman are in the book too I believe.

Yes they are. The hero uses both of them, and after Kiryu stomps Leopardon, the hero summons the original Ultraman to fight Kiryu.

Yeah, it's not just any ordinary Mechagodzilla, it's specifically Kiryu that shows up. Though I have a feeling that if Toho allows them to use Mechagodzilla, they may demand the filmmakers use Showa MG instead.

They seem pretty malleable with MechaG; based on merchandise alone, they push both Showa and Kiryu constantly.

Seems like they've basically forgotten Heisei, though.

Within the Kong: Skull Island credits is something very interesting
Spoiler:
Characters of “Godzilla,” “King Ghidorah,” “Mothra” and “Rodan” created and owned by Toho Co., Ltd.

I guess
Spoiler:
Toho has changed their polocy. Should have seen this coming, they stopped doing things like the kaiju logos for Godzilla PS3/4 games. I'm still thinking they are gonna bring up turning Skull Island into Monster Island somehow, maybe to contain these four, so I'm not out yet.

Am I the only one who thinks Godzilla looks taller than listed? Forgive me if this has been brought up to death, but when he's stomping to the ocean at the end, he looks more like 500 feet or so.

Or maybe the filmmakers are keeping it vague so they can adjust his size in the next one?
