Yeah. Well, I think they should at least put a little logo of it on the bottom or something. Not to make a big deal about it, but the little logo on the bottom would be nice.

A roaring Godzilla silouhette above a ''60th anniversary''.

The character logo. The Marvel-looking one.

If they were to make a logo I think it should look similar to this:

Just replace the 50 with a 60, change the outline of Godzilla to the new one and I'd be happy.

I would be happy with any version of the Toho logo.
I've never seen it on a big screen before. 8-)

Nah... no 60th anniversary logo. If there is one, cool... but I don't care either way.

I'd expect Toho would do something like that when they distribute the film in Japan, but I don't think we'll see anything like that stateside.

Not for an American movie. 2014 may be Toho Godzilla's 60th anniversary, but LPG isn't Toho's Godzilla. So this isn't a true 60th anniversary movie.

I could hug you for that, man. You're absolutely right. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of something being said for Godzilla's 60th, but people need to stop acting like this is another Toho film. It's not. "Oh but Toho is working with Legendary blah blah blah." Meh, not really. They're just putting it through an approval process (which GINO had as well. Yes, Toho gave the go-ahead, even if they were reluctant). I'm looking forward to this movie, but I'm not going in thinking it's going to be a Japanese-style film in the least.

Wtf is this crap? So we are dismissing the anniversary just because its an American film?

Its STILL a Godzilla film and its STILL coming out the 60th anniversary.

Some of you need to chill out big time.

This is probably going to be the future for awhile. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Yeah, yeah. We get it. You're a broken record. You get offended by trivial details. Take your own advice, man. The rest of us are pretty relaxed.

Look at it this way: if Marvel released a new Batman movie, with Joe Dude having replaced Bruce Wayne as Batman, fighting The Pranker in Gotpork City... would you still consider it a true Batman movie, just because it has the name?

So LPG will involve Gadzella fighting Mortha in Toekeeyo?

^ You know what I mean. LPG will (hopefully) be Godzilla, just not the Godzilla.

Regardless of whether or not it's true to the spirit of Godzilla, it's still not the Japanese Godzilla (not that I'm complaining). The Spider-man movies (both the Raimi and Webb versions) are loved by a lot of people and they may be Spider-man, but they're still not THE Spider-man. That title belongs to 616 Peter Parker. Same thing applies here.

For the record, I probably come across as pretty negative about this movie. More so than I intend to, anyway. I am excitedly looking forward to it, and fully intend to see it on opening day. Odds are I'll enjoy it, too. I just don't view it as a true G-movie. As long as it's faithful to the source material, though, I'll be fine with it in an 'alternate universe' sort of way.

Meh could have been better like the 50th one. Oh well.
I completely forgot about that one. I actually kinda like this one better then the 50th anniversary logo.
My entire experience at TohoKingdom before 2015 can be summed up like this:
I joined, said some REALLY dumb s***, and then disappeared.

I really like that logo. I don't know which one I like better: this one or the 50th one.

It definitely has an "impact" look going for it, but I still like the 50th anniversary logo better.
