The Godzilla Production Crew Thread

Post by gatorzilla »

On IMDB Godzilla has now added another name to its production crew-

Seamus McGarvey-Cinematography

Looks like the production crew is coming together! Which means that casting will probably begin late 2012/early 2013

Filming in spring of 2013 sounds like it may happen!

So are we going to have a thread every time someone new gets added to the project?

Really? I thought the photography in The Avengers was one of the highlights of the movie. The camera work when the final battle is raging in New York was great. I'm particularly fond of the scene that focuses on each Avenger individually, but in one long unbroken take.

I'm not sure I'd call IMDB news. It can be edited by ANYONE. Even some disgruntled "fan" could go on there and attach someone's name to the movie.

I'm confident the movie will happen regardless. Displaying the test footage at Comic Con showed they have faith in the movie.

The guy who was listed as a concept artist for the film turned out to be true so i would say this is a safe bet as well. Especially if its still posted after awhile.

And good grief there are STILL people who think this movie wont get made?

My best guess is casting starting in late 2012/early 2013 with filming starting in Spring 2013

I'd advise everyone to keep checking IMDB because i imagine more people are going to be added in the coming months

Good to hear about progress but one step at the time.

This might turn out to be great a movie, with the new 2 people coming in, having David S. Goyer writing a draft of the movie, Gareth Edwards who can do splendid things with even a low budget, and Max Bourenstein with young talent, I can't wait.

I completely agree. Especially if their vision is just like how they did the Comic Con footage and based on the crowds reaction to that? Yeah this could be one HUGE film and I truly think it will be!

Its funny how if you look back a few months ago where we pretty much had nothing and then look now at what is all developing its really exciting to see how the speed of things has changed especially since Comic Con.

I'm expecting our next update to be at the NYCC in October. The thing is as long as people are being added to the production crew it helps feed the hunger for more big news on the film.

I am a little skeptical with this coming from IMDB but considering that Dominic Lavery confirmed his involvement and that came from IMDB then I think this update is legit and the time is right for the production crew to take shape hopefully they will probably begin casting in November maybe the teaser trailer from Comic Con might be shown in NYCC along with probably an early plot synopsis and updated info
