GINO was pathetic. Even the tie in cartoon, hell the TRAILERS were better than the actual movie.

Though Donkun has a point, making the film too realistic could take away from it. Still, nothing to throw a tantrum over.

Okay guys I made this topic for funny responses in general not just one guy and considering how many posts have been made about it I think everything has been said that can be said. ;)

I saw response where someone was really hyped, saying he can't wait and then asking if it's still coming out in 2012.

It's sad. I for one will miss Donkun now that he's leaving the fandom.

Goodbye Donkun, we won't miss ya.

[quote]

ATOMIC FIRE, not the power burps we saw in 98.

One thing I'm confused about though is that the trailer seems to portray Godzilla as a villain. I remember hearing somewhere that Godzilla would be the defender of earth. Unless he's an anti-hero or something...

Too true.

Though I can't blame people cause it can easily fit either Godzilla or King Ghidorah. I think the fact he is using a world destroying god as a metaphor for atomic weapons is what threw people off. It's meant to be for Godzilla since he is a living atomic weapon and the guy was talking about nukes but his metaphor with the world destroying god could easily apply to King Ghidorah since he is a world destroyer supposedly.

It could have been worse, someone could have said BAGAN O.O

Also, sorry about the Nigel clip everybody, just had one of my moments LOL

Hypothetically speaking, how would you guys have reacted if we got a slimmer Godzilla in the trailer over a bulky one? Again, I do NOT mean anorexic, I mean something like GFW Goji. I feel I misjudged you guys as mega-purists that will rip anything aside from a Heisei clone to shreds.

Well, Godzilla CAN destroy the world, King Ghidorah HAS, CAN, and WILL destroy several.

As long as it looks like Godzilla and not GINO we'd be fine with even an anorexic or just skinny. Hell we've already accepted Heisei and GMK Godzilla and they're fat. "Legendary Godzilla" might just be more monster for us to love if reports about his design being classic looking are anything to go by..

As for the pictures of the design shown, I like it so far but I'd like to see more of it.

I'm not surprised about the GINO fans bashing on the new design, I've dealt with them in the past.

I'd just keep replaying this scene:

I've always thought that if someone got up close and personal with Godzilla about his actions and his relation to the planet he'd go "Shreeonk you I just live here".

Gonna regret posting this again, but what would you guys think if a design like this was shown:

http://hellbender93.deviantart.com/art/GOJIRA-291156348

The head is based loosely off of the bust that was circling around the internet when the film was first announced. Note that the colors would be different, looking more like the KOM Godzilla. The arms are Baryonyx like and the legs and feet resemble the Winston version. Oddly enough, the tail looks a lot like the one on Fatzilla (lean body plus powerful tail equals efficient underwater movement). Oh, and the neck is like the Delgado version, not the nutsack thing shown above.

Speaking of Fatzilla, I think it might have been based on this:

...touche. I can't prove anything. Still, the quote has nothing to do with KG in terms of the quotes origins.

I could be completely wrong though. However, I feel that if they were going to use KG, they would have had him in the trailer instead of that centipede monster.

It could be that they haven't really decided on anything and just needed a generic monster to put in the teaser.

This famous quote is probably the most haunting and fitting thing Legendary could have added to the trailer, and only a few people got it.

True. Though I think showing KG would have been better to show in the trailer to get the fans hyped up.

Also, I think my level of obsession with this film has become...unhealthy LOL

Had a dream of the trailer last night. Only real difference was the Godzilla design and we actually see atomic breath at the end. Basically when the camera goes up G's back we see his spines begin to glow, we rise up to see a brief close up of his face and he nukes the screen.
