Huh... I'm wondering that now, too.

I didn't think of this somehow but did Legendary sign a contract maybe that all their content was Comic-Con exclusive or do deals like that not exist with Comic-Con?

Yes, he does! I happen to simply love the pure bulk on that design. It makes him appear even more gigantic, strong and powerful only due to the pure mass of his presence. That's basically what a giant monster needs to truely impress (me). I'm curious on his first HD full-body appearance.

I know I keep bringing this up but did any of reports say he has maple leaf spikes?

my opinion on that was that she died somehow shielding the kids from whatever was about to happen to them. which of course makes the scene all the more depressing

if it was as hype as people are saying (to the point that it surprised Edwards) it'll be out sooner rather than later in some way shape or form. personally, i've waited this long for the little tidbits of news we've gotten; waiting a little longer for the teaser will not be that bad, for me at least

During the brief unannounced Godzilla panel which you can watch below, director Gareth Edwards said his Godzilla is modeled off of the original 1954 (Gojira) Godzilla, roar and all.

http://www.thehdroom.com/news/Godzilla-Trailer-Roars-at-Comic-Con-First-Image-Online/10938

From this:
1. Well at least we now known how Gareth's Godzilla will be and how it will turn out.
2. The roar within the teaser most likely will be that of the Original 1954 or probably some updated version of it.

I honestly dislike the silhouette - the facial shape is squareish and reminds me too much of Zilla. The square head is, in my important, the least Godzilla-esque aspect of the design.

BUT this is early in production and only a silhouette, so I won't make a fuss. Things change, after all - and even if the design's kind of meh, it still looks like the movie's in the right direction.

I think the fins start popping up too early on the silhouette.

Glad to see that I wasn't the only one hoping for this xD Great choice there Gareth it'll fit perfectly with the tone of the movie :)
Shouldn't this go into the Godzilla: The Look topic? Seems like a very important piece of info.
