Judging by reading a lot of these articles talking about this Legendary is going with a full out presentation for this movie. We are getting audio and video teasers and I would assume that we will be getting concept art and an official release date which i believe is going to be 2014 and maybe even more info!

This isnt just something small. Looks like they are getting ready to unleash Godzilla! And they are going to tease us BAD! Already the buzz is starting to get people excited.

Funny thing is I bet more people get excited for this than Man of Steel or Pacific Rim

^Maybe, but remember it's not 100% confirmed we're getting anything at all--much less that we're getting all THAT. I hope that's the case, but let's not be overly confident that it is.
Now it's dark...

Providing this does happen (from the sound of things it will!) I think its a very safe bet to say that script and everything has been approved and that casting will begin soon followed shortly by filming!

I love how the article talks about the crowd will go wild at hearing Godzillas roar :D

Fingers are crossed. Legendary has not denied it which is a good sign. Saying that the presentation will be SICK sounds like this will finally head in the direction of us fans getting the American Godzilla movie we deserve! I cant wait to see what the video teaser looks like or what design they will go with! C'mon 2014 release date!

Two years ago was hardly years ago :P . I thought the T-shirt design looked awesome and I won't mind if they keep that design if they do some minor changes to it.

Didn't Edwards himself say that Toho was very generous as far as providing lots of freebees or something along those lines? I doubt Toho is being anal about anything especially with a movie company that often delivers quality films. Good to hear something will be presented at this years comic con. We definitely want something major to get the fandom and general audience buzzing about this movie long before the film is released.

Two years= More than one year. Therefore, years.

Not that people haven't been whiny doomsayers during that period. It's surprising that this forum last a few healthy years without ANY Godzilla related information. Now that we have a project, we're all spoiled.

A final design of Godzilla might be a bit much, gotta leave some shroud of mystery to draw in interest (Not too much or else you'll end up with GINO influence)

A release date window, a teaser poster, and possibly some form of the script being finished, these are tabs that would be great to know. Anything from there would be a massive bonus (Like a possibly teaser trailer which might be shown at this year's comic con).

Yeah, there had been quite a decent amount of doomsayer surges through these two possibly years. Mostly at the beginning of 2012, but its been mostly here at TK and some other places throughout the net. But yeah, this should hush hush everyone now.

Bassett, and producer Samuel Hadida. Hall H

2:30-5:00 Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Preview Their Upcoming Lineups— Legendary Pictures: Pacific Rim-From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro comes Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ epic sci-fi action adventure Pacific Rim. When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes — a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) — who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse. Pacific Rim also stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day.

Complete schedule:

Godzilla isn't on the list, which of course makes sense since the film is in full blown film production. But hopefully, at the ending of Hall H's showcasing is when we'll sight the G's presentation.

^ If the rumors are true then it's probably unlisted to make it a surprise.

Dumb question. Would announcing that a Godzilla tidbit at their booth draw more people or no?

I think world of mouth with a surprise would do better. If they announced Godzilla people might just brush it off as "oh those bad movies from the 50's, why remake them " and not go see the teaser, thus not even giving it a chance. Now if they show the teaser without announcing it's Godzilla and it's really good people might go to their friends and be like "dude go on Youtube and look this up it's an amazing teaser."

I'm talking about non fans and people not with the press though.

From what I've been seeing, non fans if they heard and read Godzilla announced, then they would only be interested when realizing that LP were pulling things off. Because normally, whenever most people hear LP, think instantly think the Dark knight films and 300, and from it would grow more interested. Of course I have nothing to proof that assumption completely other than the posts that made their way to net after Godzilla LP was completely made known to the world. But that's not enough IMO since that was two years ago, and hype could have died off somewhat.

Anyway I think we all can agree that they are keeping this as a surprise, if it were listed then it really wouldn't be a surprise. Of course there's word of the mouth and the net spreading the news out, but physically being there at the con to actually experience it is the real lure. And hopefully, youtube will be our friend and have it up lol.

Having LP make it helps too. Really surprising people, word of mouth on the surprise and who's making it will help build interest for non fans.
